Sittinger made 36 relief appearances in the minors during the 2021 campaign and posted a 4.12 ERA and 1.17 WHIP in 39.1 innings. Although he also made his major-league debut by making five appearances with the Diamondbacks, he'll likely serve as organizational depth for Atlanta in 2022.

Sittinger (0-1) was tagged with the loss Sunday against the Astros after allowing three runs on three hits -- including two home runs -- and a walk across two-thirds of an inning.
EDGE Analysis
Sittinger had given up just one run over his first four appearances of the season, but the wheels came off in this one and was tagged with his first loss of the campaign. The fact that he has already allowed three homers in just 4.2 innings in relief might be a bit concerning as well, and he's not expected to pitch in high-leverage situations any time soon.

Sittinger allowed one walk over a scoreless relief inning in Wednesday's 8-5 loss to Texas.
EDGE Analysis
Sittinger made his MLB debut after his contract was selected from Triple-A Reno on Tuesday. He entered a clean seventh inning with Arizona trailing 5-3. The 27-year-old right-hander had a combined 4.03 ERA with five saves over 33 games at Double-A Amarillo and Reno. In theory, he's being evaluated for a spot in next year's bullpen.
