Tasked with protecting a 5-3 lead in the ninth inning, Workman quickly found himself in trouble. After Brandon Belt reached on a throwing error by Chris Owings, Workman loaded up the bases by allowing a single to Cristhian Adames and a walk to Chris Shaw. The right-hander rebounded with back-to-back strikeouts, but unfortunately he then walked in a run. Luckily, Workman finished things off by punching out Evan Longoria en route to the 5-4 victory. Lyles owns a 1.98 ERA and 1.05 WHIP with 15 saves across 31 appearances this season.

Workman has pitched well all season, but now with the ninth-inning role, his fantasy value is rising. EDGE Analysis
Workman was handed just a one-run lead and made things interesting with a leadoff walk to Cesar Hernandez to start the inning, but the Phillies couldn't advance the runner, let alone bring him in to score. Workman now owns an excellent 2.07 ERA and a 35.6 percent strikeout rate on the season.

After Matt Barnes walked in a run in the eighth inning, Workman came in with the bases loaded to record the final out. He continued into the ninth frame, allowing an unearned run to score on a sacrifice fly after a passed ball put Cavan Biggio in scoring position. That would be as close as the Blue Jays would get as Workman slammed the door by punching out Justin Smoak. The save was the 12th of the year for the right-hander, who owns a sturdy 2.10 ERA and 1.03 WHIP.

He made things interesting, alternating whiffs and free passes and tossing a wild pitch into the mix for good measure, but Workman managed to get the job done.
