Moss is no stranger to home runs, having hit 30 of them last season. As the club's starting first baseman, he'll attempt to join the 30-homer club again. A more realistic expectation might be 20-25.

Brandon Moss was one of four A's to log a multi-hit game against the Giants on Wednesday, going 2-for-3 with two singles. Moss was one of baseball's breakout stars last year, reaching the 30-homer plateau in just over 500 plate appearances. He seems to have found a home in Oakland, and has started off his 2014 campaign on the right foot against the Giants. Moss will once again get significant playing time at first base and should be among those in or near the 30-homer club at the end of the season.

Athletics avoided arbitration with 1B Brandon Moss by agreeing to a one-year contract. The financials of the deal are not yet known. Moss, who was arbitration-eligible for the first time this winter, put up his first career 30-homer season in 2013. He'll be Oakland's first baseman again in 2014.

Moss has struck out in nine out of his 11 at-bats during the series, but he came up big at the right time for Oakland. Josh Reddick and Seth Smith also homered in the victory. Brandon Moss smashed his 30th home run of the season in Saturday's loss to the Mariners. The seventh inning blast off Chance Ruffin was his only hit in five at-bats on the afternoon. The 30-year-old burst onto the scene by clubbing 21 homers in 265 at-bats in 2012, and has continued to hammer the baseball in an expanded role this season. He now owns a .255/.336/.520 line on the season with 30 homers, 86 RBI and four swipes in 444 at-bats.

Brandon Moss jolted a pair of doubles in Tuesday's victory against the Angels. Moss finished 2-for-4 with an RBI. He has driven in 24 runs in his last 26 games. The veteran outfield continues to provide tremendous value in a platoon role, slashing .258/.340/.513 with 27 homers and 78 RBI in 419 at-bats.

Brandon Moss delivered an RBI double in a win over the Rangers on Saturday. His first-inning double was the only offense Bartolo Colon and Grant Balfour would need. Moss has driven in 23 runs in his last 24 games. Only Robinson Cano has more RBI during the same timespan.

Moss doubled twice and also drove in two runs, giving him 75 RBI for the year. This season, the first baseman is batting .255/.338/.502 with 26 home runs.

Brandon Moss clubbed a two-run homer and stole a base Thursday against the Tigers. Moss went deep four times in the series and now has seven home runs and 14 RBI over his last 10 games. He's not going to help much in batting average, but his power and multi-position eligibility can help in most mixed fantasy leagues.

It was a gaudy offensive night for the Oakland squad, and none had a bigger night than the 29-year-old. Moss had 11 total bases, including his 23rd and 24th home runs of the year, and raised his RBI total to 66 with the big night. The four hits led the A's, who racked up 21 total on the night.
