Guyer is expected to have a chance to extend his streak of productive starts this season over the next two games, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
With a pair of lefties in the Rays' immediate future, Guyer will have a chance to build on his .297/.422/.405 line. He's been particularly productive as of late, hitting .370 over his last nine games, with seven of those being starts. The 30-year-old has tallied an impressive .372 wOBA against southpaws this season over 29 plate appearances, but hasn't exactly been shabby in limited opportunities against righties either .388 wOBA over 16 plate appearances). The all-around success has manager Kevin Cash increasingly willing to give Guyer playing time against either handedness of pitcher. "We need to see Guyer get out there more," Cash said. "Right now he's swinging the bat well. He's getting on base. That's what we need. We need some guys who can get on base and see if we can get things rolling."

Guyer went 2-for-4 with a double in Friday's 6-1 loss to the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
The part-time veteran stayed hot in his first start since April 22, and is now slashing .355/.474/.484 through 31 at-bats this season. Guyer has managed multi-hit outings in his last three starts, and continues to serve as an excellent platoon option against left-handed pitching.

Guyer was 2-for-3 with two runs scored in Thursday's 12-8 victory over the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
The right-handed hitting outfielder continues to make the most of his opportunities in 2016, now having tallied six hits in his last nine at-bats during games in which he's started. Guyer doesn't has one homer on the season but no other extra-base hits, yet has managed a .381/.536/.524 line over 21 at-bats.

Guyer got the start Sunday, playing right field and hitting second, and went 4-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.
EDGE Analysis
The four hits in a game were a career high for Guyer and tripled his output on the young season. While his platoon role for the Rays limits his upside in the counting stats, Guyer could end up with a solid slash line given his career .278/.369/.447 performance against left-handed pitching.

Guyer went 2-for-3 with a single and solo homer in Friday's 6-1 spring loss to the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
The reserve outfielder's bat remained hot, as he blasted his second homer in the bottom of the seventh on a full-count pitch from Kevin Jepsen. Guyer's torrid spring consists of a .500 average (9-for-18) with two homers and five RBI. Guyer's ability to play all three outfield positions should garner him a decent level of playing time in 2016, and an opportunity to once again make solid contributions in extra-base hits, homers, RBI and stolen bases. The 30-year-old posted a .260/.338/.393 line last season, tallying 21 doubles, six homers, 28 RBI and 10 stolen bases over 332 at-bats.

EDGE Analysis
Guyer brings defensive versatility to the Rays with his ability to play all three outfield spots. At the dish, he demonstrated a solid ability to get on base with a .379 OBP when batting leadoff with the Rays last season (61 games). He'll likely carve out a platoon role in left field this upcoming season.

Guyer will leadoff against the Tigers on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
With lefty Randy Wolf on the mound for the Tigers, Guyer will take over in left field for Grady Sizemore --- a tactic the platoon-conscious Rays have deployed often throughout the season. Guyer has been effective against lefties this year, slashing .280/.441/.836 with five homers and 17 RBI in 143 at-bats this season.

Guyer went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Sunday's win over the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Guyer primarily enters the lineup as the leadoff hitter against left-handed pitching for the platoon-conscious Rays, an arrangement that worked out successfully Sunday with the Royals starting Danny Duffy. The outfielder took Duffy deep for his sixth homer of the season, upping his line against southpaws to an impressive .273/.393/.439.
