Red Sox farm director Brian Abraham confirmed Monday that Jordan has been promoted from Single-A Salem to High-A Greenville, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
He'll make the jump to Greenville along with 2021 first-round pick Marcelo Mayer, who also received the bump up from Salem. The 19-year-old Jordan overcame a brutal first month of the season at Salem to deliver a .315/.384/.490 slash line while maintaining a 14.4 percent strikeout rate in 78 games from May 1 onward.

Jordan is in the midst of a nine-game hitting streak for Single-A Salem during which he's hitting .382/.436/.588, including smashing his second homer of the season Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
That homer was Jordan's first since the team's season opener April 8, but it's part of what's been an impressive turnaround for the 20-year-old third baseman. After going 0-for-4 with four strikeouts April 29, Jordan saw his season numbers shrivel to .162/.230/.250 with a 5.4 percent walk rate and 24.3 percent strikeout rate. During this streak, though, he's put up a 10.3 percent walk rate and 12.8 percent strikeout rate -- and even better, he's smashed four doubles and the aforementioned homer in the last three games. Jordan rocked the ball across a 19-game stint in rookie ball last year, and it may just be that he needed an adjustment period at the higher level. He's still hitting a fairly meager .235/.301/.363, but with these recent signs of hope, he's still worth watching in dynasty circles.

The Red Sox promoted Jordan from their rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate to Low-A Salem on Tuesday, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
A third-round selection in the 2020 first-year player draft, Jordan had to wait a year to make his professional debut after the last minor-league season was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The 18-year-old third baseman doesn't seem to have been hurt by the delayed debut, as he's been one of the more impressive hitters in the FCL since play began in late June. Over 19 games and 76 plate appearances, Jordan hit .362 with 12 extra-base hits while striking out at a palatable 17.1 percent clip.

Jordan and the Red Sox have agreed to terms on a deal, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jordan, a third-round pick in the 2020 first-year player draft, will get a $1.75 million bonus, significantly higher than the slot value for the 89th overall pick. He will fly to Boston next week for a physical and to make the deal official.
