Bill Bray (groin) threw 20 pitches in a simulated game Tuesday afternoon in Reds camp.
"Good, really good," is how Reds general manager Walt Jocketty described the workout to reporters. Bray has been slowed for the past few weeks by a groin injury but still has a chance of being ready for Opening Day.

Bill Bray (groin) threw 30 pitches in a bullpen session Friday.
Bray suffered a groin injury early in Reds' camp and suffered a setback while throwing batting practice last week. However, he hasn't had any issues over the past few days and could pitch in a game as soon as next week. Barring any setbacks, the 28-year-old left-hander still has a chance of being ready for Opening Day.

Bill Bray (groin) threw a bullpen session Wednesday without incident.
Bray was briefly shut down last week after feeling linger tightness in his groin while throwing batting practice, but his recovery is back on track. The 28-year-old left-hander is scheduled to throw another bullpen session Friday and still thinks he has enough time to get ready for Opening Day.

Bill Bray's live batting practice session was cut short Wednesday due to some lingering tightness in his groin.
The Reds didn't want him to "push it," but perhaps he'll try again sometime in the next few days. While Bray hasn't progressed as quickly as hoped, he still has enough time to get ready for the start of the season.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports Bill Bray (groin) is close to returning to the mound.
""He's better," manager Dusty Baker said. "But he's still feeling a little discomfort." As a reliever, Bray should have no trouble catching up in March and readying himself for the start of the regular season.

Bill Bray (groin) hopes to resume full workouts over the weekend.
Bray is currently receiving treatment for a sore groin muscle. While he is restricted from full workouts, he can long toss up to 150 feet. "I should be back by the weekend," said Bray. "It happened on the mound during my second bullpen. They're being cautious and don't want it to get worse. I feel good." Bray should have plenty of time to get ready for the new season.

Bill Bray is being held out of workouts in Reds camp because of a sore groin muscle.
"At least it's not an arm or shoulder," manager Dusty Baker said Tuesday. "Billy Bray worked hard before he got here. That's what is disheartening. You've got to take it easy, especially in the groin area with pitchers." As a reliever, he should have no trouble catching up in March and readying himself for the start of the regular season.
