Bill Bray (lumbar muscle strain) tossed a scoreless inning Tuesday in his first rehab appearance with Triple-A Louisville. Bray gave up one hit while striking out one and throwing 10 out of 18 pitches for strikes. The southpaw should only need a couple more appearances before being activated. He's been sidelined since the end of July with a lumbar muscle strain.

Bill Bray (groin, back) tossed 1 2/3 perfect innings Monday in his latest rehab appearance with Low-A Dayton. With a pair of scoreless appearances under his belt, he's now scheduled to continue his rehab assignment Thursday and Friday with Triple-A Louisville. If all goes well, he should be back in the Reds' bullpen within the next couple of weeks.

Bill Bray (groin, back) tossed a scoreless inning in a rehab appearance with Low-A Dayton Saturday. He walked a batter but also struck one out and didn't allow any hits. Bray will make another appearance for Dayton Monday and should rejoin the Reds bullpen before long.

Bill Bray (groin) remains without a timetable. Bray made a rehab appearance with Triple-A Louisville last month, but has been strictly working at extended spring training, and recently reported a setback. "We're trying to get him through that," GM Walt Jocketty said. "His mechanics got out of whack because of the [groin] injury. Now he's having problems with his lower back."

Bill Bray (groin) threw a successful 12-pitch inning Wednesday at extended spring training. Bray reported no issues with his back or groin. The setup man should be cleared to head out on a minor league rehab assignment by early next week and seems likely to rejoin the Reds' bullpen by the end of this month.

Bill Bray (groin) pitched an inning in extended spring training Friday. Bray has been sidelined since aggravating a left groin injury last month. There's no timetable for his return, but he's likely getting close to going out on an official minor league rehab assignment.

Bill Bray (groin) joined Triple-A Louisville on Friday to begin a minor league rehab assignment. Bray was placed on the disabled list last week after aggravating a left groin injury. It's not known how long he'll spend in the minors, but the Reds don't appear inclined to rush him back.

Reds placed LHP Bill Bray on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 19, with a left groin injury. Bray apparently aggravated a groin injury originally suffered during spring training. The 28-year-old southpaw has allowed four runs over just 2 2/3 innings this season, including getting roughed up for three runs over one inning against the Cardinals last Wednesday. The timeline for his return isn't yet known, but he won't be eligible to return until the first week of May.

Bill Bray was shelled for five runs in only two-thirds of an inning Sunday against the White Sox. The damage came on four hits and a walk. It was his third appearance in four days, so perhaps it was a case of "too much too soon" for a reliever who spent most of March rehabbing from a groin ailment. With the Reds' final Cactus League game scheduled for Monday, Bray's next opportunity to right the ship will come during the regular season.

Bill Bray (groin) faced six batters Friday in a minor league game. Bray was a bit rusty, giving up a single and a two-run home run, but the good news is that he didn't have any issues with recent groin injury. There's still a chance he'll start the season on time.
