Slater (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Slater landed on the 10-day injured list nearly four weeks ago with a strained left hamstring but is ready to test things out in game action again. He shouldn't require too many rehab at-bats before being reinstated to the Yankees' active roster. When he does return, Slater will see some reps against left-handed pitching.

Slater (hamstring) has resumed some baseball activities and on-field drills, per MLB.com.
EDGE Analysis
Slater injured his hamstring while running to first base on a groundout Aug. 4 and was tabbed with a 4-to-6 week timeline to return. He's approaching the early end of that timeframe, but it doesn't appear that he'll be ready to be activated right at the four-week mark. It remains feasible, however, for Slater to be activated before the midway point of September.

Slater (hamstring) will require a trip to the injured list, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Slater exited Monday's matchup against the Rangers due to left hamstring tightness, and the issue will keep him out for at least the next 10 days. A timetable for his return has yet to be established. Amed Rosario could see a few more at-bats in Slater's absence.

Slater (undisclosed) exited Monday's contest versus Texas as a result of left hamstring tightness, Brendan Kuty of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Slater appears to have torqued his left hamstring while busting it down the line on a ground ball in the first inning. Depending on the severity of the injury, the outfielder could be forced to miss some action moving forward, and potentially even be placed on the injured list.

Slater (undisclosed) exited Monday's contest against the Rangers in the top of the first inning, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Slater was making his first start with the Yankees after being traded to the team July 30, but his day was cut short after grounding into a fielder's choice in the top of the first. The outfieler appeared to have come up lame after running down the baseline, and more information on his status will likely come in the near future. In the meantime, Jasson Dominguez replaced him in left field versus Texas.

The Yankees acquired Slater from the White Sox on Wednesday in exchange for right-hander Gage Ziehl, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Slater has slashed .261/.338/.522 this season against left-handed pitching, so he will give the Yankees an option at all three outfield position versus southpaws. He is making $1.75 million in 2025 and is an impending free agent.

Slater went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-6 loss against the Guardians.
EDGE Analysis
Slater opened the scoring in the fourth inning with a 387-foot solo home run off Joey Cantillo, his fourth on the year, and followed it up with an RBI single an inning later but it wasn't enough to lift the Sox to a win. After a hopeful late June stretch, the 32-year-old had not been impressive at the plate recently, batting just 7-for-34 (.206) with seven strikeouts over his previous 12 games entering Sunday, but this performance may help get him back on the right track.
