Baltimore Orioles outfielder Austin Hays was optioned to Double-A Bowie, according to Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports. Hays hit .243/.275/.572 in spring, but did not force the Orioles' hand, so he will get some more seasoning in the minors. He is close, though, as evidenced by the fact the team gave him 63 plate appearances in 2017 as a 21-year-old, and he should be in Baltimore at some point in 2018.
