Hays went 2-for-3 with two walks, two home runs and three RBI in Friday's 8-4 win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Hays helped the Reds overcome an early deficit with home runs on consecutive plate appearances in the fourth and sixth innings. He's been an RBI machine when healthy, knocking in 40 over 48 games this season. "Healthy" is the operative word; Hays has spent three separate stints on the injured list with hamstring and foot injuries.

Hays went 2-for-3 with three RBI and a walk in Thursday's 6-0 win over Miami.
EDGE Analysis
It was Hays' first game with multiple hits and three RBI since June 30. Although the 30-year-old outfielder started against right-hander Cal Quantrill on Thursday, most of the former's playing time should come versus southpaws going forward. Hays is hitting .366 with one home run, six doubles, three triples and eight RBI over 41 at-bats against left-handed pitching, but he's batting a weaker .248 versus righties in 2025.

Hays went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-1 loss to Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Only Hays could solve Phillies right-hander Zack Wheeler, who allowed just the one hit and did not walk a batter. Hays is batting .206 (7-for-34) over nine games since coming off the injured list June 27, but it's been an impactful .206 with three doubles, one triple, two home runs and six RBI.

Hays started in left field and went 1-for-5 in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader against Boston. He went 0-for-4 as the DH in the first game, a completion of Tuesday's suspended contest.
EDGE Analysis
Wednesday's regularly meeting between the two clubs was the first time Hays played the field since being activated off the injured list in late June. He'd missed nearly a month with a foot injury but appears ready to handle whatever role manager Terry Francona has planned for him.

Hays went 2-for-4 with a triple, a home run and three RBI during Monday's 13-6 loss to the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Dating back to before his foot injury, Hays entered play in the midst of a 1-for-16 stretch, but he racked up seven total bases to spark the Reds offense. Those bases came courtesy of his first home run since May 16 and first triple since May 26. The Reds are certainly happy to have the 29-year-old's bat back in the lineup as he's slashing .295/.336/.568 in 143 plate appearances this season.

Hays opened Saturday's game on the bench but eventually entered as a pinch hitter and went 0-for-1 in a loss to the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Hays was activated off the injured list Friday and served as the designated hitter for that game. He finished out Saturday's contest as the DH after pinch hitting for Gavin Lux. Hays had missed nearly a month with a foot injury, and it appears manager Terry Francona is easing him back into the lineup and eventually left field.

Hays was activated from the 10-day injured list Friday and served as the designated hitter in his first game back. He'd been out nearly a month with a foot injury. He'll eventually work back into the rotation in left field.

The Reds reinstated Hays (foot) from the 10-day injured list Friday, Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hays played in the field Wednesday for the first time during his rehab assignment, and he's been given the green light to rejoin the active roster. He'd been on the shelf since May 29 due to a left foot contusion. Jake Fraley (shoulder) was placed on the injured list in a corresponding move.

EDGE Analysis
Hays played the field for the first time on his rehab assignment and was removed after six innings. Reds manager Terry Francona told Greg Kuffner of MSN.com that Hays is doing well and could be activated ahead of Cincinnati's weekend series against San Diego.
