Armando Benitez has agreed to a contract with the Long Island Ducks of the independent Atlantic League. Benitez last appeared in the big leagues back in 2008, when he posted a 5.68 ERA in 6 1/3 innings for the Blue Jays. The 39-year-old is doubtful to ever make it back.
