The Brewers optioned Seigler to Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Seigler has batted only .194/.292/.210 with zero home runs over 34 games and had made just one start in September. He's being sent out in order to clear space on the active roster for the return of Rhys Hoskins (thumb).

Seigler remains out of the lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Seigler had started at third base in five of the Brewers' first eight games of August as manager Pat Murphy more proactively shielded rookie Caleb Durbin from right-handed pitching, but Durbin has since re-established himself as Milwaukee's clear top option at the hot corner. Over the last nine games, Seigler has cracked the lineup just once while Durbin has started in the other eight contests.

Seigler is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The switch-hitting Seigler has been seeing more starts against right-handed pitching lately at Caleb Durbin's expense, but Durbin remains the Brewers' clear top option at third base when Milwaukee faces a lefty, such as Mets starter Sean Manaea. Seigler has done little at the plate to earn extra playing time however, batting just .192 (5-for-26) since the All-Star break with zero extra-base hits.

Seigler will start at third base and bat seventh Sunday against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Seigler will make a second straight start in place of Caleb Durbin after going 1-for-4 with his second stolen base of the season Saturday. The Brewers haven't indicated that Durbin is dealing with an injury, so Seigler will likely return to a backup role during the upcoming week.

The Brewers selected Seigler's contract from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Seigler is a versatile player capable of handling catcher, second base and third base. He's a switch hitter but is a much better hitter from the left side of the plate, as he posted a .975 OPS against righties as compared to a .445 OPS versus lefties this season at Nashville. The 26-year-old is also a capable baserunner, having gone 20-for-23 on stolen-base attempts over 63 games in 2025. Seigler will be making his major-league debut when/if he gets into a game.

The Brewers are expected to call up Seigler from Triple-A Nashville, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reported Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Seigler inked a minor league contract with the Brewers in November after spending seven seasons in the Yankees organization. The 26-year-old has slashed .277/.416/.465 with seven home runs and 20 stolen bases over 267 plate appearances with Nashville this season. He's split time between second base, third base and catcher this season. It'll be his MLB debut if he gets into a game.

Seigler (kneecap) is expected to start the 2020 campaign with Low-A Charleston, Dan Kelly of SB Nation reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Yankees drafted Seigler 23rd overall in the 2018 draft, and he was initially regarded as one of the team's top prospects. However, the backstop hit only .175 in 120 plate appearances in Low-A ball last season before a patella fracture ended his campaign after 30 games. Seigler's defensive tools make him an intriguing player to keep an eye on, and the coming season figures to be crucial in assessing his offensive potential.

Seigler will miss the rest of the season due to a patella fracture, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
He apparently called for a slider, got a fastball and got crossed up, which led to the injury. Seigler's on-base potential and athleticism for a catcher are intriguing aspects of his profile, but injuries have limited him to just 54 pro games since he was selected with the 23rd overall pick in the 2018 draft.

The Yankees will assign Seigler (quadriceps) to Low-A Charleston on Monday to make his season debut, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
After straining his quadriceps in March, Seigler was held back at extended spring training as the Yankees took a cautious approach with returning him to game action. With the organization now apparently satisfied with how Seigler's quad has responded in a simulated games, the 2018 first-round pick will now make his debut in full-season ball. The 19-year-old will get a tough test right off the bat with Charleston set to oppose Dallas Keuchel, who will be making his first rehab start for the Braves' affiliate in Rome.

Seigler is dealing with a quad strain and may be held back in extended spring training to start the season, Sam Dykstra of MiLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
He would have likely opened the year at Low-A, but this injury will delay his full-season debut. Seigler is a little under the radar right now in dynasty leagues, but is an extremely well-rounded catching prospect who could improve his stock in 2019.
