Aneury Rodriguez has agreed to a contract with the Samsung Lions of the Korean Baseball Organization. Rodriguez had an ugly 6.60 ERA and 1.88 WHIP in 92 2/3 innings this past season at Triple-A Oklahoma City -- an affiliate of the Astros. The 25-year-old would have had to settle for a minor league deal state-side.

Astros sent RHP Aneury Rodriguez outright to Triple-A Oklahoma City. Rodriguez allowed just two earned runs in a spot start for the Astros earlier this season, but he probably won't get another look in the big leagues this summer.

Aneury Rodriguez was called up from the minors on Tuesday May 8.

Aneury Rodriguez is expected to be recalled to start for the Astros against the Marlins on Tuesday. The spot in the rotation had previously belonged to the now-injured Kyle Weiland. This will likely be a one-time thing for Rodriguez, but there's always a chance he could make a favorable impression by pitching well and manage to stick around.
