Young was recalled from Arizona's alternate training site Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Young spent time with the big club earlier in the season, appearing in seven games and going 4-for-14 with a home run and three RBI. He'll offer depth across the infield during his time in the majors. Kevin Cron was sent to the team's satellite camp in a corresponding move.

Young was optioned to the Diamondbacks' alternate training site Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Young saw inconsistent time on the field during his time on the 28-man roster, but he was relatively effective by slashing .286/.444/.571 with two extra-base hits and three RBI. He'll presumably be able to play more consistently at the alternate training site and could return to the majors at some point in 2020. Kevin Cron was recalled by Arizona in a corresponding move.

Young went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Sunday's 9-5 loss to San Diego.
EDGE Analysis
With the game already well out of reach, Young knocked a two-run homer in the ninth inning as part of a slight comeback attempt by the Diamondbacks. The 26-year-old rookie is 3-for-8 with two extra-base hits to start his MLB career.

Young went 2-for-2 with a double and a run scored in Tuesday's loss against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Young came into the game as a defensive replacement in the sixth inning, and he recorded his first two MLB hits in his first two official at-bats. It remains to be seen if this will translate into more playing time, but he might be the spark Arizona needs offensively.

Young will be recalled by the Diamondbacks on Saturday, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Young was optioned to Triple-A Reno in March after being added to the 40-man roster during the offseason, but he'll now join the major-league roster for the first time. Under the rules of the 2020 season, the 26-year-old won't accrue an extra year of service time this year since the threshold has passed. Young had a .903 OPS with 29 home runs and 81 RBI in the minors last year, but he'll likely play a depth role at second base, third base and shortstop as he continues to develop in the majors.

Young was optioned to Triple-A Reno on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Young was added to the 40-man roster in November to protect him from the Rule 5 draft, so he was able to begin spring training in the Diamondbacks' major-league camp, but he'll prepare to begin the year in the minors once again. The 25-year-old has been effective this spring, going 7-for-20 with one home run and four runs in the Cactus League. If he can remain productive during the season at the Triple-A level, Young could make his major-league debut at some point in 2020.

Young was added to the Diamondbacks' 40-man roster Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
This protects him from the Rule 5 draft. The third piece in the Paul Goldschmidt deal, Young is essentially big-league ready, he just needs a place to play. He hit .280/.373/.611 with 21 home runs and a 24.5 percent strikeout rate as a 25-year-old in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League. Young saw roughly equal time at second base, third base and shortstop at Triple-A, but probably won't play any shortstop in the majors, barring an emergency. He will likely be given a chance to make the roster out of spring training.
