Stevenson is set to sign a one-year, $200,000 contract with the KT Wiz of the Korea Baseball Organization after the Rays released him Friday, Jee-ho Yoo of the Yonhap News Agency reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stevenson signed a minor-league deal with Tampa Bay in late April and slashed .289/.361/.461 with five home runs and 18 stolen bases in 202 plate appearances for Triple-A Durham, but he was unable to earn a call-up to the majors and will now continue his career overseas. The 31-year-old outfielder previously spent the 2024 season in Asia, playing in Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball as a member of the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters.

Stevenson agreed to a minor-league contract with the Rays on Saturday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tampa Bay has been dealing with a plethora of outfield injuries early in the season, and Stevenson will provide some veteran depth at Triple-A Durham. The 30-year-old has a .668 OPS in 273 career MLB games and spent the 2024 campaign playing in Japan, where he had a .278/.332/.382 slash line with three homers and 10 steals in 75 contests.

Stevenson signed a contract with the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters of Nippon Professional Baseball on Wednesday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stevenson, 29, is a career .243/.316/.352 hitter over parts of six seasons in the majors. He can play all three outfield spots and undoubtedly got a nice bump in pay to head overseas.

Stevenson elected free agency Monday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stevenson had been outrighted off the Twins' 40-man roster and he's decided to pursue a contract elsewhere rather then accept that assignment. The 29-year-old outfielder slashed just .189/.250/.216 across 40 plate appearances with Minnesota in 2023 and will likely have to settle for a minor-league contract this winter.

Stevenson cleared waivers Friday and was sent outright to Triple-A St. Paul.
EDGE Analysis
The Twins free up a 40-man roster spot by outrighting Stevenson, who slashed just .189/.250/.216 across 40 plate appearances with Minnesota in 2023. The 28-year-old outfielder put up a .916 OPS in Triple-A, however, and he could return to the 40-man roster if he continues to perform well in the minors next season.

The Twins selected Stevenson's contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Friday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stevenson earned a promotion by putting up a .916 OPS with 16 homers and 44 steals with St. Paul. The 29-year-old can back up at all three outfield spots and is back in the majors for the first time since 2021.

Stevenson signed a minor-league contract Thursday with the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Stevenson did not appear at the MLB level in 2022, but he did post encouraging numbers -- including 39 stolen bases -- in 135 games with the Triple-A affiliate of the Nationals. The 28-year-old can operate as organizational outfield depth for the Twins in 2023.

Stevenson informed the Nationals on Sunday that he intends to accept his outright assignment to Triple-A Rochester, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stevenson had the right to refuse the assignment and pursue his options in free agency after he cleared waivers earlier in the weekend, but he'll instead stick around with the only organization he's ever known. The 27-year-old outfielder has seen big-league action in each of the past five seasons, but his lack of a 40-man roster spot could hinder his chances of resurfacing with the Nationals at any point in 2022.

Stevenson cleared waivers and was outrighted to the minors Saturday, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Stevenson is out of options, so it had looked previously as though he had a good chance to win a bench spot. The Nationals will instead go a different route, which can't be too surprising given Stevenson's career .248/.322/.365 slash line across parts of five seasons. He has the right to refuse an outright assignment, so he may wind up on the open market rather than with Triple-A Rochester.

Stevenson is out of minor-league options, giving him an edge in the battle for a spot on the Nationals' bench this spring, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old saw the most action of his career last season but failed to seize the opportunity, managing only a .633 OPS in 213 plate appearances with a 28.6 percent strikeout rate against only a 6.1 percent walk rate. Assuming he's on the Opening Day roster, Stevenson has a path to significant playing time again in 2022 as the Nats' outfield isn't exactly set aside from Juan Soto, but his profile doesn't suggest he'd be a fantasy asset even in a starting role.
