Two-Start Pitcher Streamers for Week 15 rotoballer.com Sat 7/7/18 6:00 AM

We have 13 games on Monday, including two doubleheaders: NYY/BAL and PHI/NYM. Also, five of the teams playing have "TBD" listed as their Monday probable pitcher. However, we're still able to find six streamable starting pitcher options for your fantasy team. Consistency is the key, as my streamers tend to have two things in common: they allow three earned runs, or less, in their recent starts and they tally at least five strikeouts in their outings. If my streaming p[...]

Andrew Heaney Roughed up in Monday's Loss rotoballer.com Tue 6/12/18 5:55 AM

Los Angeles Angels starter Andrew Heaney was roughed up by the Mariners on Monday. He surrendered five runs on seven hits in just three innings of work. He walked one and struck out two. Three long balls was his undoing, as Nelson Cruz tagged him for two and Ryon Healy got him for one. Heaney had been on a roll lately, and this is hopefully just a small setback for the left-hander. He sports a 3.67 ERA and a 1.17 WHIP on the year and faces the A's in Oakland next.

Andrew Heaney (SP, LAA) - Week 11 Waiver Wire Pickups rotoballer.com Sun 6/10/18 7:13 AM

BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues OWNED IN: 48% of leagues ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Andrew Heaney has been on a hot streak and should be able to take advantage of an injury. With Shohei Ohtani sidelined, Heaney is likely to see two starts in Week 11, making him one of the better waiver wire moves. Heaney dominated his last outing against the Royals, allowing just one hit in a complete game shutout while striking out four batters. He has a 3.12 ERA this season (suppo[...]

Andrew Heaney Twirls a Gem rotoballer.com Wed 6/6/18 8:37 AM

Los Angeles Angels starter Andrew Heaney bounced back from a rough start at the end of May to spin a gem on Tuesday. He tossed a complete game shutout, only allowing one hit and one walk. He struck out four on 116 pitches. Heaney now has a 3.11 ERA and a 1.10 WHIP on the year, with a 58/19 K/BB ratio in 60 2/3 innings. He is worth a look at least as a streaming option in all formats, and should be owned in 12-teamers going forward.

Two-Start Pitcher Streamers for Week 8 rotoballer.com Sat 5/19/18 4:30 AM

For Week 8 of the two-start pitcher streamers, we have some familiar faces and some players trying to redeem themselves from poor performances. Per usual, I'll break down the pros and cons for selecting each arm for this week. From Week 7, we provided you with Andrew Heaney (15 K and 3 ER in two starts) and Mike Foltynewicz (14 K and 0 ER) as two-start gems. Pivetta only pitched in one game last week, but he was profitable: 7 IP, 1 ER, and 11 K (more on him later). Which brings me to my next p[...]

Andrew Heaney (SP, LAA) - Week 7 Waiver Wire Pickups rotoballer.com Fri 5/18/18 1:55 PM

BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues OWNED IN: 36% of leagues ANALYSIS: When a little-owned pitcher dominates the defending World Series champions, fantasy owners tend to take notice. That's what happened with Andrew Heaney this week, as his ownership rate skyrocketed after he struck out 10 Astros in eight shutout innings. A former first-round pick, Heaney has had trouble staying both healthy and effective thus far in his career. Just a few weeks away from his 27th birthday, the lefty might f[...]

Andrew Heaney (SP, LAA) - Week 4 Waiver Wire Pickups rotoballer.com Sun 4/22/18 10:39 AM

BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues OWNED IN: 8% of leagues ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Andrew Heaney was once a top-flight prospect and top-10 draft pick for the Marlins. It is only fitting that he is on the Angels' pitching staff now because he has battled injuries for the last two years. Heaney had Tommy John surgery in 2016, pitched just 21 innings last year as he recovered and then gave a good scare to the team by suffering elbow inflammation in the spring. His i[...]
