The Los Angeles Angels will go with a bullpen day on Thursday against the Mariners in order to give starting pitchers Matt Shoemaker and Andrew Heaney an extra day of rest. Shoemaker and Heaney will pitch Friday and Saturday, respectively. Shoemaker has made just three starts this year but is a streaming option in deeper leagues. Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Andrew Heaney gave up five runs in five innings of work on Tuesday, striking out six and walking two. A Jeimer Candelario homer did him in, but outside of that he had a solid outing. Heaney now sports a 3.96 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP on the year, with 122 strikeouts in 127 1/3 innings. He is still a solid arm to roll out there every five days.

Los Angeles Angels starter Andrew Heaney gave up four runs, all in the fourth inning, in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Rays. He pitched six innings and gave up six hits, with no walks and five strikeouts. He was cruising until things came undone in the fourth which tainted an otherwise solid start. Heaney now has a 3.75 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP on the year, and is still a starter worth owning in standard formats going forward.
