Like last year, the Angels are hoping the left-hander will return after a short absence. Heaney missed the first two weeks of 2018 with a similar ailment and still led the team with 30 starts. It's disappointing that he's had to start late two straight years, but Heaney still has some upside and is worth a late-round pick in mixed league drafts.

Heaney felt good after Tuesday's bullpen session after he missed a start with elbow inflammation. The 27-year-old left-hander had a decent season in 2018, going 9-10 with a 4.15 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 180 strikeouts in 180 innings over 30 starts for the Halos. You could do a lot worse than Heaney at the back end of your fantasy rotation in mixed leagues.
