The Cut List (Week 4) - Time to Let Go? rotoballer.com Sun 4/21/19 7:00 AM

We're past the 10% mark of the season now for this, April's penultimate Cut List. That still doesn't mean free rein to chop off your roster anyone you don't like, but samples are only increasing, playing time divisions becoming clearer, injuries piling up. That said, the Watch-Out list of players to keep for now won't appear, at least this week. While it's a cute play on the [...]

Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Andrew Heaney (elbow) played catch up to 110 feet on Tuesday and is expected to get back on a mound in the next 10 to 12 days, according to general manager Billy Eppler. Andrew Heaney To Receive Cortisone Shot rotoballer.com Mon 4/1/19 10:08 PM

Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Andrew Heaney's CT scan showed "chronic changes to his elbow." He will receive a cortisone shot and will be cleared to start throwing again in seven to 10 days. The left-hander has the stuff to be the team's fantasy ace and to be valuable in all fantasy leagues, but he just can't seem to avoid the injury bug. This diagnosis pretty much rules him out to make his season debut in April, but he's still worth holding in the majority of leagues for his upside.

Heaney can be held for now if you have room on your injured list, but if not, feel free to cut loose.

Why You Should Target Injury-Prone Pitchers (Sometimes) rotoballer.com Tue 3/26/19 4:30 AM

To some fantasy owners, theres nothing more frustrating than the good but oft-injured starting pitcher. It makes owners just want to wash their hands entirely of pitchers like Rich Hill, James Paxton, and Stephen Strasburg in favor of sub-par innings-eatersand often pushes these fragile hurlers down draft boards. However, in certain league formats, targeting these pitchers at their discounted prices can actually be a solid strategy in building an outstanding pitching staff on a budget. Andrew Heaney Throws Off Mound Monday rotoballer.com Mon 3/25/19 10:25 PM

Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher Andrew Heaney (elbow) made meaningful progress by throwing 20 pitches off a mound on Monday. The Angels don't believe Heaney's arm issues are too serious, so he might only wind up missing a few regular season starts. The 27-year-old southpaw went 9-10 with a 4.15 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 180 strikeouts in 180 innings last year and remains one of the Halos best pitchers. He's a must-stash in mixed leagues while he recovers.
