Chief baseball officer Derek Falvey didn't provide an indication that Kirilloff (wrist) was close to returning from the 7-day injured list at Double-A Pensacola when asked about the matter Saturday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rather than specifying a timeline for Kirilloff's return, Falvey merely noted that the Twins had always expected the 21-year-old to miss the first few weeks of the season due to the wrist injury he sustained in spring training. Until word surfaces that Kirilloff is ready to play in simulated games, a return to Pensacola won't be forthcoming.

Kirilloff (wrist) will open the year on the injured list at Double-A Pensacola, Sam Dykstra of MiLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
He sustained the injury late in spring training, but is expected to return to the field sometime in April. Kirilloff is expected to start seeing time at first base this year -- a sensible solution to a perceived logjam on the organizational outfield depth chart.

The Twins will start breaking Kirilloff in at first base this season, Twins Daily reports.
EDGE Analysis
This makes all the sense in the world, as Kirilloff has filled out since his days as an amateur and the Twins have a crowded outfield already, without factoring in last year's first-round pick Trevor Larnach, who is a corner outfielder/designated hitter and on the fast track to the majors. A move to first base does not negatively impact Kirilloff's fantasy stock.

Kirilloff was reassigned to minor-league spring training Friday, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kirilloff hasn't played above High-A in his young career, so this move doesn't come as a surprise. He slashed .362/.393/.550 with seven home runs and 45 RBI over 65 games at High-A Fort Myers a season ago and could begin the 2019 campaign at Double-A Pensacola given his early success in the minors.

Kirilloff was extended an invitation to major-league spring training, LaVelle E. Neal III of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kirilloff split the 2018 season between Low-A Cedar Rapids and High-A Fort Myers, slashing .348/.392/.578 with 20 home runs in 130 games. The 21-year-old is likely to begin the 2019 season at Double-A Chattanooga given his success at Fort Myers, but will have a chance to showcase himself with the big club at spring training.

Kirilloff went 4-for-4 with a pair of doubles Wednesday in High-A Fort Myers' 3-2 win over Charlotte.
EDGE Analysis
The outfielder extended his hit streak to 13 games with his fourth four-hit performance of the season. The 20-year-old hasn't shown much over-the-fence power (four homers in 209 plate appearances) since moving up to the Florida State League, but he has still maintained a solid .188 ISO thanks to his ample doubles output.

Kirilloff is hitting .368/.394/.540 with three home runs and two steals in 40 games (175 plate appearances) since his promotion to High-A Fort Myers.
EDGE Analysis
His .419 BABIP at High-A is unsustainable, but even if we regress his batting average 50 or 60 points, he's still off to a very impressive start in the Florida State League. The main thing any Kirilloff detractor would point to is his 4.0 percent walk rate, but it's hard to expect a player who's sporting a 165 wRC+ while striking out just 15.4 percent of the time to be more patient. He has a chance to enter this offseason as a top 20 prospect for dynasty leagues and should open his age-21 season at Double-A.

Kirilloff was promoted to High-A Fort Myers on Wednesday, Jeff Johnson of TheGazette.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 20-year-old corner outfielder made up for lost time (he missed all of 2017 due to Tommy John surgery) with Low-A Cedar Rapids, hitting .333/.391/.607 with 13 home runs (.274 ISO) and an outstanding 47:24 K:BB in 281 plate appearances. His stock in dynasty leagues is way up, as he is displaying the potential for a plus hit tool and at least plus game power.

Kirilloff went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk for Low-A Cedar Rapids in its 4-3 loss to Clinton on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The long ball was Kirilloff's eighth of the season, boosting his OPS to an excellent .945 across 193 plate appearances. After missing the entire 2017 campaign while recovering from Tommy John surgery, the 20-year-old hasn't missed a beat in his first taste of full-season ball and has firmly reestablished himself as one of the top prospects in the Minnesota organization. A midseason promotion to the Florida State League seems likely for the 2016 first-round pick.

Kirilloff hit two home runs and had six RBI in Wednesday's win over Peoria for Low-A Cedar Rapids. He's hitting .273 with a .852 OPS in five games.
EDGE Analysis
Kirlloff, the 15th overall pick in the 2016 draft, missed the 2017 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery. He's playing in the outfield and back to full strength. His strong first week shows he could advance rapidly as he doesn't appear to have much rust from the lost season.
