Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said Wednesday that Kirilloff will head to Dayton, Ohio over the weekend to receive further evaluation from a specialist on his sprained right wrist, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie was placed on the 10-day injured list earlier Wednesday after the sore right wrist that kept him out of Tuesday's game against the Rangers was later diagnosed as a sprain. Until Kirilloff meets with the specialist, the Twins won't have a clear timeline for his return, but Baldelli said he's optimistic the 23-year-old won't be in store for an extended absence. Miguel Sano (hamstring) was activated from the IL in a corresponding move Wednesday and should take over as Minnesota's everyday first baseman while Kirilloff is on the mend.

The Twins placed Kirilloff on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a right wrist sprain, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kirilloff will be shut down just as he was beginning to get hot at the plate; he had supplied six extra-base hits (four home runs, two doubles) over his last four starts before the wrist injury surfaced. The Twins will at least get some reinforcement for the lineup with the return of power-hitting first baseman Miguel Sano (hamstring), who was activated from the 10-day IL in a corresponding move. Minnesota has yet to provide an update on the severity of Kirilloff's sprain or how much time he might miss.

Kirillof (wrist) is scheduled to visit a hand and wrist specialist Wednesday, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old suffered the right wrist injury sliding into second base Monday and was held out of Tuesday's starting nine. The specifics of the injury remain unclear, but the fact he's visiting a specialist so quickly is an ominous sign. Kirilloff is unlikely to be available Wednesday while being evaluated, and it should be known shortly whether a trip to the injured list is necessary.

Kirilloff is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Rangers due to wrist soreness, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old was originally slated to start Tuesday, but he was instead scratched due to the wrist issue. Kirilloff should be considered day-to-day while he continues to be evaluated.

Kirilloff is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
He is in the midst of a seven-game hitting streak, hitting .321 with four home runs over that stretch. However, his 33.3 percent strikeout rate and 3.3 percent walk rate over this hot streak are worth keeping an eye on. Willians Astudillo will start at first base and hit eighth.

Kirilloff went 1-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in Sunday's 13-4 win over the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Kirilloff's three-run blast off reliever Jake Newberry in the eighth inning put the finishing touches on the series win for the Twins. The home run was the four of the weekend for Kirilloff, who had gone 3-for-26 with one extra-base hit (a double) over his first eight games of the season. Though the rookie's power binge is a welcome sight for fantasy managers, it's worth noting that he had no other hits in his 12 at-bats this weekend beyond the home runs, and he posted a 1:6 BB:K in the series. He's now sporting a .184 average, .200 on-base percentage, 2.6 percent walk rate and 30 percent strikeout rate on the season.

Kirilloff went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and three strikeouts as Minnesota fell 11-3 to Kansas City on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Kirilloff followed up Friday night's two-homer performance with a solo shot in the seventh to get Minnesota on the board. The Twins' top prospect played first base and may receive more time there with Miguel Sano on the IL.

Kirilloff went 2-for-4 with two home runs, a walk and four RBI in Friday's 9-1 win over Kansas City.
EDGE Analysis
Kirilloff made some major noise for the first time since his April 23 call-up. The 23-year-old launched his first two major-league homers, the first being a three-run blast in the third and his second just a solo shot in the fifth. He became the first Twins player to hit his first two career home runs in the same game since Pat Meares in 1994. Kiriloff started out just 3-for-26 with an RBI, a run scored and a 0:6 BB:K over his first eight games, so it was encouraging to see him finally living up to the hype as the organization's top prospect.

Kirilloff was recalled from the alternate training site Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The move was expected with Miguel Sano (hamstring) heading to the injured list, but Kirilloff has now officially been added to the big-league roster. The 23-year-old should take over the starting job at first base for the immediate future but could shift back to the outfield once Sano returns.

Kirilloff is expected to be recalled by the Twins on Friday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miguel Sano (hamstring) was placed on the injured list with a hamstring injury, and Kirilloff's promotion will be the corresponding move. He should see the majority of his at-bats at first base in Sano's absence. However, even after Sano returns, Kirilloff figures to remain in the lineup as he's also capable of playing in the outfield.
