Faedo (3-1) allowed two runs on three hits across 2.1 innings of relief but managed to earn the win in Monday's game against the Marlins. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Faedo wasn't at his sharpest Monday, but the righty still managed to earn another win out of the bullpen. He's been racking those up at an impressive but likely unsustainable pace, as he came into the season with only three total wins at the MLB level the last two years despite making 24 starts. Faedo has been solid so far, though his long-relief role makes his fantasy value somewhat unpredictable moving forward.

Faedo (2-1) tossed two scoreless innings of relief to earn the win Saturday against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
After starter Casey Mize allowed three runs (two earned) over five innings, Faedo worked the sixth and seventh, and he continued to pitch well. The righty has a strong 2.55 ERA across 17.2 innings this season, and he's emerged as a capable long reliever for the Tigers. The role limits Faedo's upside, though he may be able to earn a few more wins here and there.

Faedo logged two scoreless innings of relief in Friday's 8-2 win over the Twins. He walked one and struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
Faedo now has a strong 2.16 ERA across five appearances (8.1 innings). The righty has covered two full innings in three of his five outings, which has given the Tigers a nice boost out of the bullpen. Faedo may not have a ton of fantasy value in his current long-relief role, though he could move up the bullpen pecking order if he continues to pitch well.

Faedo pitched two scoreless innings of relief in Monday's 5-0, 10-inning win over the Mets. He allowed a hit and a walk, while striking out three.
EDGE Analysis
Detroit needed some bullpen length to get the contest to extra innings and Faedo delivered. The righty has now logged 3.2 scoreless innings across two appearances this year, and it looks like he'll be asked to serve in a long-relief role moving forward. While Faedo may provide the Tigers a boost in this capacity, his fantasy value figures to be more up and down, as he'll have an unpredictable path to the occasional win or hold.

Faedo will make the Tigers' Opening Day roster in a bullpen role, Julie Kreuz of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Faedo pitched well this spring, compiling a 1.35 ERA across 13.1 innings, and it was enough to secure his first Opening Day roster spot in the majors. The former first-round pick hasn't found his footing as an MLB starter yet, though he could emerge as an effective reliever if his stuff plays up. However, Faedo likely won't see enough high-leverage work initially to warrant fantasy attention.

Faedo tossed two scoreless innings in Tuesday's Grapefruit League game against the Twins. He struck out two.
EDGE Analysis
After allowing two runs over two innings in his first spring appearance back on Feb. 25, Faedo has now logged six straight scoreless innings across three appearances. The righty made 12 starts for the Tigers last season, but with the likes of Kenta Maeda and Jack Flaherty now in the mix, Faedo will likely have to settle for a relief role in 2024. So far, he's making a strong case to have a spot on the Opening Day roster.

Faedo allowed two runs on four hits across two innings in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Rays. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
The strikeouts were nice, but Faedo was also too hittable, with the key blow being a home run by Yu Chang. Faedo appeared in 15 games for the Tigers in 2023, with 12 starts, but he's likely been pushed out of a rotation spot due to the offseason additions of Kenta Maeda and Jack Flaherty, and several other pitchers have gotten healthy. Faedo will instead look to snag a bullpen role coming out of spring training. The righty won't be on the fantasy radar as a middle reliever.

Faedo will miss the rest of the season after undergoing a procedure Wednesday to repair his right middle fingernail, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Faedo underwent a procedure to remove a portion of the same fingernail earlier this season. He landed on the injured list last Tuesday due to a blister on his finger and had a slim chance of returning for the final game of the year, but he will now shift his focus to getting ready for the start of next season. Faedo finishes 2023 with a 4.45 ERA and 1.05 WHIP alongside a 58:20 K:BB through 64.2 innings.

The Tigers placed Faedo on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a right finger blister.
EDGE Analysis
Faedo's move to the injured list is retroactive to Sunday, which leaves just enough room for him to return for the final game of the season Oct. 1. In the meantime, Brendan White will come up from Triple-A Toledo to fill Faedo's roster spot.

Faedo has worked out of the Detroit bullpen in his last two appearances Sept. 9 against the White Sox and Wednesday against the Reds, covering five scoreless innings while striking out six and allowing just one hit and two walks.
EDGE Analysis
Faedo has made just one of his four appearances in September as a starter, though the Tigers aren't yet dropping the right-hander from the rotation. Though he excelled in long relief of Tarik Skubal and Eduardo Rodriguez his last two times out, Faedo will likely end up serving as more of a bulk reliever Tuesday against the Dodgers. Miguel Diaz is slated to open the game and pitch an inning or two, and since he'll be available on five days' rest, Faedo looks like the most logical choice to serve as a primary pitcher out of the bullpen.
