The Tigers transferred Faedo (shoulder) to the 60-day injured list Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Faedo was placed on the 15-day injured list Aug. 25 with a strained right shoulder, and the injury is severe enough to keep him sidelined for the remainder of the regular season. He's been administered a PRP injection but is expected to have a normal offseason. In 57.1 innings with the Tigers this year, Faedo logged a 3.61 ERA and a 1.34 WHIP.

The Tigers reinstated Faedo (personal) from the paternity list Sunday and placed him on the 15-day injured list with a right shoulder strain.
EDGE Analysis
Faedo is back with the Tigers after he spent the maximum three games away from the team to welcome a new addition to his family, but the right-hander had been apparently dealing with the injury prior to his recent leave of absence. His placement on the IL is retroactive to Thursday, so he'll be eligible for reinstatement as soon as Sept. 6. While operating out of the bullpen and serving as an occasional opener pitcher for the Tigers this season, Faedo has accrued a 3.61 ERA and 1.34 WHIP across 57.1 innings.

The Tigers placed Faedo on the paternity list Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Faedo will miss at least one and as many as three games as he welcomes a new member to the family. He'll cede his spot on the active roster to left-hander Sean Guenther, who was recalled from Triple-A Toledo.

Faedo will serve as the Tigers' opening pitcher during Tuesday's game against the Cubs, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Faedo is expected to handle one or two innings before turning the game over to bulk reliever Bryan Sammons. Though Faedo has allowed just one run in 3.2 innings during August, he's walked eight batters in that span. He has a 3.72 ERA over 55.2 innings on the season.

Faedo will work as the Tigers' opening pitcher Thursday against the Mariners, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Faedo has proven to be effective while serving as an opener, throwing 2.2 scoreless innings across his last two opening assignments. Once he exits the game, Kenta Maeda is expected to take over as the Tigers' bulk reliever.

Faedo will serve as the Tigers' opener during Saturday's game against the Giants, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Saturday will mark Faedo's fourth start of the season and his second of August. He was able to last 1.2 frames during his most recent opening assignment and will likely pitch a similar amount of innings against the Giants before handing the ball to Brant Hurter, who is expected to pitch in bulk relief.

Faedo will serve as the Tigers' opening pitcher for Sunday's game against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Faedo will be making his third start of the season, but he's pitched just two and one innings in those outings and will likely be in store for a similar workload Sunday. Once Faedo exits the contest, left-hander Brant Hurter is expected to take over and serve as Detroit's bulk reliever in what will be his MLB debut.

Faedo (5-3) allowed two runs on two hits across 1.2 innings of relief to take the loss Tuesday against the Guardians. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
Faedo followed opener Tyler Holton and didn't have much luck as he continued his recent struggles. After notching wins in five straight decisions between mid-April and July 20, Faedo has now taken the loss in consecutive appearances out of the bullpen. Over his last eight outings, the righty has allowed eight runs across 11.1 innings. Faedo has still been mostly solid this season with a 3.81 ERA and should be able to get back on track soon.

Faedo (5-2) allowed a run on two hits across an inning of work to take the loss Sunday against the Twins. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Faedo served as Detroit's opener Sunday and was impressive missing bats, though he still sustained his first loss since April 4. The righty had gone 5-0 after that until Sunday's defeat. Despite the stumble, Faedo has been solid in his relief role for the Tigers all season, posting a 3.58 ERA and striking out 48 batters across 50.1 innings. He should continue to occupy a key spot in the bullpen moving forward.

Faedo will start Sunday's game against the Twins, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Faedo will make his second start of the season Sunday, though he'll likely be limited to one or two innings before handing the ball off. It's unclear if the Tigers are committing to a bullpen game or will utilize a bulk reliever, but Kenta Maeda would be the likeliest candidate for multiple innings should Detroit opt for a bulk reliever.
