Colome allowed one unearned run on two hits with zero walks and two strikeouts during the ninth inning in his 29th save of the season to close the door on a 5-3 victory against the Tigers on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
It was far from perfect, but Colome secured his 29th save, moving him one save away from his most since 2017. His ERA and WHIP, though, are better than they were in 2017, meaning this is one of the best seasons of his career. Colome is 4-4 with a 2.55 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 53 strikeouts in 60 innings this season.

Colome threw a perfect ninth inning, recording one strikeout, to pick up the save in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Colome was the eighth and final pitcher of a bullpen game for the White Sox. He came on to shut down the Twins in the bottom of the ninth inning after rookie Zack Collins provided insurance with a solo home run in the top of the inning. He recorded his 28th save in 30 opportunities.

Colome (4-4) allowed a run on one hit while striking out one to pick up the loss against the Mariners on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Colome entered a tied game in the 10th inning and served up a walkoff home run to former White Sox catcher Omar Narvaez. Putting aside the loss in a non-save situation, Colome has been the league's top closer in terms of percentage, converting 96.4 percent of his opportunities.

Colome allowed two hits and a walk but didn't surrender a run over 1.1 innings to earn the save in Friday's 9-7 win over the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Colome struck out one in the appearance. The closer was called to the mound after Aaron Bummer allowed a pair of runs in the eighth, and Colome was able to escape the jam before handling the ninth. Colome owns a 2.40 ERA and 1.03 WHIP in 56.1 innings this season, and now has 27 saves.

Colome (4-3) allowed a home run and struck out one to pick up the loss Friday against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Colome entered with the game tied and served up a gopher ball to Justin Upton, the first homer he's allowed in 25 games (25.2 innings) going back to June 11. Apart from a slightly elevated walk rate, Colome has been everything the White Sox hoped for. The club has him under control through the 2020 season, and he will most likely serve as the team's closer next year, when the White Sox hope to begin a competitive window with its best prospects at the major-league level.

Colome didn't allow a baserunner and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning to record the save Tuesday against the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
Colome was called upon to protect a one-run lead and did so effectively, recording the last out with a three-pitch strikeout of Mike Freeman to earn his 26th save. He has stumbled a bit of late, surrendering at least one earned run in four of his last nine outings. Still, the White Sox have shown no sign of turning away from him as the closer thanks to his mostly effective work this season. Across 52 innings this campaign, Colome owns a 2.42 ERA and 1.02 WHIP.

Colome walked one through a scoreless and hitless inning to record his 25th save in a 2-0 win over the Rangers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Colome allowed the one walk, but he made quick work of the Rangers otherwise to nail down his 25th save. Colome has converted 25 of his 26 save opportunities this season. The 30-year-old has a 2.34 ERA and a 7.56 K/9 through 50 innings.

Colome picked up the save against the Twins on Monday, giving up one earned run on three hits over one inning to close out a 6-4 victory for the White Sox. He struck out one and walked none.
EDGE Analysis
Tasked with protecting a three-run lead, Colome wasn't at his sharpest in allowing the Twins to hack the deficit to 6-4, but he managed to bare down and bag his 24th save of the year. The 30-year-old right-hander is putting in a solid season as the closer for the White Sox, as he's sporting a 2.44 ERA and 1.02 WHIP across 48 innings and has still blown just one save opportunity.

Colome allowed one run on one hit and a walk with one strikeout during the ninth inning in a 5-3 victory against the Tigers on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
After retiring the first two batters, Colome did allow the tying run to come to the plate. On the other hand, the only reason he gave up a run is because of a catcher's indifference, which, of course, is quite common in the ninth inning when one team is ahead by a few runs. Unfortunately though, it does mean Colome has allowed four runs in his last 8.2 innings (4.15 ERA). He is 3-2 with 22 saves in 23 opportunities, 2.44 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 35 strikeouts in 44.1 innings this season.

Colome was not traded and will continue to close games for the White Sox, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Colome was a popular name in trade speculation, but the trade deadline passed and he stayed with the White Sox. Since he can't become a free agent until after the 2020 season, there's a good chance he'll be closing games next season as well. He appeared in Wednesday's game against the Mets after the deadline passed, serving up three unearned runs on three hits and a walk while retiring two batters en route to suffering his second loss of the season.
