Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman (elbow) threw across the diamond for the first time on Monday since he had surgery to remove bone chips from his right elbow. Bregman is also fielding ground balls, hitting and throwing past 90 feet, so he should be just fine for Opening Day. The soon-to-be 25-year-old hit .286/.394/.532 with 31 home runs, 105 runs, 103 RBI and 10 stolen bases in a breakout 2018 season. He'll come off the board in the late-first, early-second round of fantasy drafts.

Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman (elbow) is progressing from arthroscopic surgery he had a month ago to remove bone chips. He has been hitting in the cage and fielding ground balls at third base and on Saturday he progressed to throwing past 90 feet. Bregman estimated he was throwing at 90 to 95 percent intensity, too.
