Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve (knee) and third baseman Alex Bregman (elbow) will be brought along slowly this spring as a precaution, according to manager A.J. Hinch. Altuve underwent surgery on Oct. 19 to fix a patella avulsion fracture, while Bregman had surgery Jan. 11 to remove bone chips in his elbow. Both players have reported to camp and are working out.
