The Rangers optioned Osuna to Triple-A Round Rock on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Osuna had started in just three of the Rangers' last 12 games, and since he's still a prospect of some repute, the organization likely sent him back to Round Rock so that he can play on an everyday basis. After receiving his first big-league call-up May 25, the 23-year-old outfielder slashed .164/.293/.224 with one home run and three stolen bases across 82 plate appearances for Texas.

Osuna started in left field and went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 10-2 win over the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Osuna cracked his first major-league home run in the fifth inning to extend a Texas lead to 5-2. He's received an uptick in playing time, getting starts in left field against right-handers with Wyatt Langford (oblique) on the 10-day injured list. Langford's return is expected when the minimum stay expires Saturday or soon thereafter. Osuna, who has started six of the last seven games, is 4-for-20 with two extra-base hits, three RBI, two steals and one run scored during that stretch.

Osuna is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
With the Orioles sending lefty Trevor Rogers to the hill for the series opener, the left-handed-hitting Osuna will head to the bench. Osuna had started in each of the Rangers' last five matchups with right-handed pitchers, and he looks poised to hold down a strong-side platoon role in the Texas outfield until one of Wyatt Langford (oblique) or Jake Burger (oblique) returns from the injured list.

Osuna started in left field and went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Saturday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Osuna was the automatic runner in the bottom of the 10th and scored the winning run on Marcus Semien's bases-loaded single. The start was the fourth straight for Osuna, who is getting some additional opportunities with Wyatt Langford (oblique) on the 10-day injured list. The lefty-hitting Osuna could be in the lineup most days when the Rangers are facing a right-hander, as they do Sunday when Seattle sends Luis Castillo to the bump.

Osuna started in left field and went 1-for-2 with a double in Friday's 7-6 loss to Seattle.
EDGE Analysis
Osuna filled in for the injured Wyatt Langford, who was placed on the 10-day injured list with an oblique injury that Kennedi Landry of MLB.com described as mild. Osuna was eventually replaced by Ezequiel Duran when a lefty reliever entered the game. Friday marked the third consecutive start for Osuna, who has a .171/.300/.195 line over 19 games since his contract was selected from Triple-A Round Rock at the end of May. Osuna, Duran or Sam Haggerty could see a spike in playing time while Langford is unavailable.

Osuna started in left field and went 0-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Wednesday's 7-0 win over the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
All of Osuna's offensive activity came in the fifth inning, when he walked, stole a base and scored on a Corey Seager single. The theft was his first in 17 games since having his contract selected at the end of May. Osuna got the start after Wyatt Langford reported tightness in his left side. Evan Carter replaced Langford defensively in center field, while Osuna slotted in for him in the order.

Osuna is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
With Adolis Garcia in the midst of a six-game hitting streak and having taken back control of a regular role in right field, Osuna's brief run as an everyday player seems to have come to an end. The 22-year-old rookie will hit the bench Wednesday for the third time in four games and could soon be headed back to Triple-A Round Rock if playing time at the big-league level remains sparse.

Osuna is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
He will head to the bench for just the second time in nine games since being called up from Triple-A Round Rock on May 25. The 22-year-old has gotten on base at a .435 clip, but his fantasy appeal has been muted thus far after getting thrown out on both of his steal attempts. The slumping Adolis Garcia is back in the lineup Wednesday after taking a seat in each of the last four games to receive a mental reset, but if the veteran is unable to turn a corner at the plate, the Rangers could reopen a regular role in the outfield for Osuna.

Osuna was recently promoted to High-A Hickory and has hit .261/.280/.435 with a homer and a steal through his first six games there.
EDGE Analysis
Osuna's final line for Single-A Down East is a sharp .313/.397/.467 with nine home runs, 32 steals and a 36:50 BB:K. While the steals pop off the page, he did get caught 15 times in Single-A (and twice in his first three attempts since the promotion), so it wouldn't be incredibly surprising if Osuna runs less as he proceeds through the minors. He has a great sense of the strike zone and a decent bit of pop, but for Osuna to become an outfield regular in the majors one day, he'll probably need to muscle up a little bit more and/or get more efficient with his base stealing.

Osuna has a .321/.407/.476 batting line with eight home runs, 30 steals and a 34:47 BB:K through 71 games for Single-A Down East.
EDGE Analysis
The 19-year-old has run wild on the bases, for better or worse -- he's been caught 14 times, so he'll have to improve that rate to continue getting green lights at higher levels. His power output has also fallen off dramatically from early in the year, as he's homered just once in his last 32 games -- yet he's managed to hit .314 with a .380 OBP and 16 steals in that span. Osuna's still not getting much attention despite his strong early returns, but with his solid sense of the strike zone and good speed, he remains a prospect to watch.
