Marsh (0-4) yielded five earned runs on five hits and two walks over 5.1 innings Friday in a loss to the Yankees. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Marsh surrendered homers to Franchy Cordero, Billy McKinney and Gleyber Torres while taking his fourth loss in four major-league starts. He posted excellent numbers at Triple-A and racked up 11 strikeouts last week against the Rays, but the 25-year-old right-hander holds a 6.20 ERA with Kansas City and is far too risky of a fantasy play in most formats. He is scheduled to pitch at Cleveland next.

Marsh (0-3) took the loss against Tampa Bay in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out 11 batters over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Though he ended up with the loss, Marsh enjoyed easily the best start of his big-league career thus far. The rookie right-hander racked up 16 swinging strikes and 11 punchouts after fanning 10 batters across his first two starts combined. Marsh served up a pair of solo homers but otherwise kept the Rays at bay to record his first career quality start. Given the impressive effort against one of the league's top offenses, it seems likely that Marsh will get at least one more turn in the rotation, and he could stick around permanently if he is able to build upon Saturday's strong performance.

Marsh is scheduled to start the first game of Saturday's doubleheader with the Rays after Friday's series opener was postponed due to severe weather in Kansas City, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though Marsh wasn't able to take the hill Friday with rain descending on Kauffman Stadium, he'll still end up starting the Royals' first game out of the All-Star break as originally planned. The rookie has turned in a 7.00 ERA, 1.78 WHIP and 10:7 K:BB in nine innings through his first two big-league starts and may need to show improvement Saturday to earn additional turns through the Kansas City rotation.

Marsh (0-2) took the loss Wednesday, giving up three runs (two earned) on three hits and three walks over five innings as the Royals fell 5-0 to the Twins. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie right-hander lasted 91 pitches (60 strikes) and kept Kansas City in the game, but Marsh's offense couldn't solve Pablo Lopez. It was a much better showing than he had in his big-league debut June 30, and with Zack Greinke (shoulder) being the most recent Royals starter to land on the IL, Marsh figures to remain in the rotation after the All-Star break.

Marsh is slated to start Wednesday's game against the Twins in Minnesota, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Marsh will make his second straight turn through the Kansas City rotation despite struggling in his MLB debut against the Dodgers last Friday, when he struck out five over four innings while allowing five earned runs on six hits and four walks. With Jordan Lyles battling an illness, the Royals have temporarily expanded to a six-man rotation, but Marsh could find himself as the odd man out if Lyles is able to pitch Thursday in Cleveland, as anticipated.

Marsh (0-1) allowed five runs on six hits and four walks while striking out five over four-plus innings to take the loss Friday versus the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Marsh drew a tough assignment for his debut, and it took Mookie Betts just five pitches to welcome the right-hander to the majors. Betts also homered in the third inning and added an RBI single in the fourth after Marsh ran into more trouble. He had a combined 4.62 ERA and 1.52 WHIP over 62.1 innings between Double-A Northwest Arkansas and Triple-A Omaha prior to his debut, and it's likely Marsh will be heading back to the minors soon, as he was filling in for Jordan Lyles (illness).

The Royals recalled Marsh ahead of his start Friday against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Friday marks the 25-year-old righty's MLB debut after putting up a 2.40 ERA and 1.33 WHIP through 15 innings with Triple-A Omaha. Marsh will be filling in for Jordan Lyles -- who was scratched from his scheduled start due to illness -- and he will most likely return to the minors after his spot start. James McArthur was optioned to Omaha in a corresponding move.

Marsh will be called up to start for the Royals on Friday versus the Dodgers, Jaylon T. Thompson of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jordan Lyles was supposed to take that turn, but he's been scratched because of an illness. Marsh, a second-round pick in the 2019 MLB Draft out of Arizona State University, has pitched to a rather uninspiring 4.62 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 75:31 K:BB in 62.1 innings (14 starts) this season between Double-A Northwest Arkansas and Triple-A Omaha. He is not a recommended fantasy streamer against Los Angeles.

Marsh was optioned to Double-A Northwest Arkansas on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Marsh spent a brief amount of time in Triple-A toward the end of last season, but he will return to Double-A to begin the 2023 campaign. He logged a 7.32 ERA and 1.67 WHIP through 114.1 Double-A innings last year.

Marsh's contract was selected by the Royals on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The move means Marsh won't be available for selection in the Rule 5 draft. Marsh spent the bulk of last season with Double-A Northwest Arkansas, where he struggled to a 7.32 ERA in 25 starts despite a 27.4 percent strikeout rate.
