Marsh (0-8) took the loss Saturday as the Royals were downed 9-5 by the Red Sox, surrendering six runs on seven hits and two walks over 2.2 innings. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
Five of the seven hits off Marsh went for extra bases, including a two-run homer by Triston Casas in the first inning. It's the most runs the right-hander has given up in an outing this season, but his luck may have been due to run out -- since rejoining the rotation in early August, the 25-year-old has a 5.59 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 33:15 K:BB through 29 innings. If he stays on turn, Marsh would next head to the mound next weekend in Toronto.

Marsh (0-7) yielded three runs on five hits and two walks over 5.2 innings Sunday, striking out nine and taking a loss against the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Oddly enough, Marsh turned in his second straight outing in which he allowed three runs and struck out nine over 5.2 frames. He also forced a season-high 16 whiffs. The right-handed rookie has registered a 5.47 ERA with a 59:27 K:BB through 49.1 innings this season, though he produced a solid 4.10 ERA in 26.1 frames in August. Marsh's next outing is lined up to be at home against the Red Sox.

Marsh will start for the Royals on Sunday in Seattle, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Marsh has been used more as a bulk reliever lately, but he won't be following an opener this time. The left-hander will be tasked with holding down a Mariners lineup that hit seven home runs and scored 15 runs Saturday. Marsh has surrendered 12 homers in just 43.2 innings this season.

Marsh worked 5.2 innings as the primary pitcher Monday against Oakland, giving up three runs on five hits and one walk while striking out nine batters in a no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
Tucker Davidson got the start for Kansas City and was followed in the second inning by Taylor Hearn, who recorded just one out. Marsh came on in relief and struck out the first two batters he faced before serving up a single run in each of the third, fifth and sixth frames. Two of those runs came on solo homers, continuing Marsh's problems with the long ball -- he's now given up 12 home runs over 43.2 innings on the campaign. Though Marsh's 5.56 ERA, 1.60 WHIP, 5.2 BB/9 and 0-6 record on the season are far from inspiring, he's struck out 50 batters over 43.2 frames overall and has been better of late while mostly working behind an opener, posting a 4.12 ERA and 1.58 WHIP over his past four outings covering 19.2 frames.

Marsh will serve as the Royals' bulk reliever behind opener James McArthur in Wednesday's game against the Mariners, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Marsh will enter the game behind an opener for his second straight turn through the rotation after he turned in quality results his last time out Thursday in Boston. Though he ultimately took the loss to drop to 0-6 on the season, Marsh limited the Red Sox to two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out three over five innings.

Marsh (0-6) took the loss against Boston on Thursday, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out three batters over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Marsh worked in a bulk-relief role Thursday, coming in to start the fourth inning and finishing off the contest. The right-hander pitched decently but couldn't escape the loss column, and he's now been charged with the defeat six times through eight major-league outings. Marsh gained some fantasy intrigue after striking out 11 batters over six frames against Tampa Bay on July 15, but since then he's tallied just 14 punchouts across 18 innings and isn't a viable asset in most formats.

Marsh will serve as the Royals' bulk reliever behind opener Austin Cox in Thursday's game in Boston, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Since recording a career-high 11 strikeouts in his third MLB start July 15 versus the Rays, Marsh has labored over his last four outings (three starts), compiling an 8.31 ERA and 1.92 WHIP over that stretch while striking out no more than four batters on any occasion. The Royals will have Marsh enter the game behind an opener with the hope that the arrangement delivers better results from the young right-hander. If Marsh struggles again, however, he could be at risk of losing his spot in Kansas City's rotation.

Marsh allowed three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out four over four innings in a no-decision versus the Phillies on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Marsh was working on short rest after a relief appearance Tuesday in which he threw a scoreless inning. He wasn't at his best for this outing, but he was able to avoid the loss after the Royals' fifth-inning rally. Marsh has a 6.75 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and 32:17 K:BB through 28 innings over seven outings (six starts) this season. He remains in search of his first win, with his next chance to pick it up tentatively scheduled to be a road start in Boston.

Marsh struck out one and allowed no hits and one walk while tossing a scoreless sixth inning out of the bullpen in Tuesday's 7-6 extra-inning win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Marsh had been lined up to start Wednesday's contest, but the Royals surprisingly summoned him from the bullpen Tuesday after starter Zack Greinke was pulled following the fifth inning. As a result of Marsh's usage in relief, the Royals will call up Cole Ragans from Triple-A Omaha to make a spot start Wednesday. Marsh is now lined up to make his next start at some point during this weekend's series in Philadelphia.

Marsh (0-5) took the loss Wednesday, allowing four runs on five hits and four walks over 2.2 innings against the Guardians. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
It was another tough outing for Marsh, who needed 75 pitches to make it through just 2.2 innings. The rookie right-hander has been tagged with a loss in all five of his MLB starts thus far -- his ERA is up to 7.04 with a 1.65 WHIP and 27:14 K:BB across 23 innings. Despite his early struggles, the rebuilding Royals will likely keep Marsh in the rotation for an extended look. His next start would be lined up for next week against the Mets.
