Adam Jones (ankle) expects to return to the lineup Sunday.
A final determination will be made after the Orioles see how Jones feels Sunday, morning, but manager Buck Showalter agreed that the outfielder likely will miss just the one game. "I was talking to (athletic trainer Richie Bancells) and he could go if he had to (on Saturday)," Showalter said. "But he probably could use the day with it. Quick turnaround, too. If it's a night game and you're sitting with it elevated all day, it might be a different gig."

Adam Jones was scratched from Saturday's lineup with a swollen ankle.
Jones fouled a ball off his foot in Friday's game. It shouldn't be anything that keeps him out more than a day or two. Josh Bell took his place in the lineup.

Adam Jones was released from a Twin Cities' hospital late Tuesday night after undergoing tests for shortness of breath and mild chest pains.
Jones underwent tests and everything came back clean. The Orioles believe his condition is more muscular in nature and thankfully not a cardio-pulmonary situation. Jones tweeted the following early Wednesday morning: "Back from hospital. Wasn't as serious as it sounded. Glad everything is in order. Appreciate the support and well wishes. Back at it ma¤ana." Based on his tweet, it's possible he may not have to miss any time.

Updating a previous item, Adam Jones was hospitalized Tuesday night after experiencing shortness of breath and mild chest pains.
While this sounds scary, the Orioles believe Jones' condition is more muscular or structural in nature and not related to any cardio or pulmonary issue. The early word is encouraging, though we'll likely learn more about his status on Wednesday. It's not clear if he'll remain in the hospital overnight.
