Jones is not in the lineup Thursday against the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Jones started both of Baltimore's games thus far, going 2-for-10 with a double and two RBI in those contests, but he'll sit out of the series finale and rest up for the upcoming series with the Rays. Joey Rickard will take his place in center field and bat leadoff.

Jones went 1-for-3 with his first home run of the spring Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Jones is off to a start of just 3-for-15 in the Grapefruit League, but as always, spring training stats should be taken with a grain of salt. He hit second in the order in a lineup that could be close to the team's actual Opening Day lineup. That could end up being his final resting spot, with Manny Machado leading off and Chris Davis, Mark Trumbo and Pedro Alvarez set to slug behind him.

Jones took infield practice at spring camp Saturday, MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones will be slotted in centerfield to start the season as normal. However, he missed 14 games in September and October last season with back issues. The Orioles seem to be taking a look at the possibility of playing Jones at a less demanding position if he can properly field it. The report did not specify a position, but first base would seem to be the only possible fit. Even then, Jones actually playing somewhere in the infield seems unlikely.

Jones (back) is out of the lineup for Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader, MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones will miss a seventh game in a row. It seems very possible that he is shut down for the remainder of the season's final weekend. With a doubleheader Saturday, it is still possible he could play in the second game. Check back after Game 1 on his status.

EDGE Analysis
Jones continues to deal with back spasms that have limited his availability for the entire week, and will give way to Gerardo Parra in center field. After playing in an average of 160 games per year from 2012-14, Jones has so far played in just 137 in his 2015 campaign.

Jones (back) remains out of the lineup Tuesday, Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jones was held out of Monday's lineup due to back spasms, and the ailment is apparently still bothering the center fielder Tuesday. As such, Gerardo Parra will get the nod in center, and he'll be flanked by Steve Pearce in left and Ryan Flaherty in right.
