Haseley (groin) could appear off the bench Tuesday and will start in center field Wednesday against Detroit, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Haseley was expected to miss four-to-six weeks with a moderate groin strain he suffered in the first week of March, but he'll wind up returning to the field in less than three. The battle to be the Phillies' starting center fielder remains something of a mess, but Haseley could have a chance to carve out a significant role if he looks healthy upon his return.

Haseley (groin) could get into a game within the next few days, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's been less than three weeks since Hasely was diagnosed with a moderate right groin strain, an injury which was expected to keep him out for four weeks. While he's seemingly ahead of schedule, there's still no guarantee he avoids a trip to the injured list to start the year given his lost buildup time. There's also no guarantee he finds himself at the front of a crowded pack of mediocre options in center field for the Phillies, though he's at least apparently back in the mix.

Haseley (groin) received multiple at-bats in a simulated game Friday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old was ruled out four weeks after being diagnosed with a moderate groin strain in early March, and he appears to be progressing well halfway through that initial timeline. Haseley's status for Opening Day remains up in the air, but he could be available if he's able to participate in Grapefruit League games down the stretch in camp.

Haseley was diagnosed with a moderate groin strain Friday and will miss four weeks, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Haseley entered camp locked into a tight battle with Roman Quinn, Scott Kingery, Mickey Moniak and Odubel Herrera for playing time in center field. The injury takes him out of the running for Opening Day, potentially boosting the chances of left-handed hitters Moniak and Herrera in particular should the team wind up using a platoon. (Quinn is a switch hitter but has historically fared better southpaws.) A four-week timeline for Haseley would see him ready to return the day after Opening Day, but given that the injury will wind up costing him most of his spring, he'll still need time to build up to regular-season form. He could still spend most of the year on the active roster, but the injury creates the risk that someone else will have established themselves as a regular before he's ready to play.

Haseley went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Haseley has now driven in a run in four straight contests, and he's notched 10 RBI in his last 10 games overall. The Phillies will likely continue to hold Haseley out of the lineup versus left-handed pitching, but his strong form at the dish of late could allow him to unseat Roman Quinn as the team's primary starting center fielder versus right-handed pitching. Quinn, meanwhile, has gone 2-for-27 while striking out in half of his plate appearances in September. There will be room for both players in the lineup in Sunday's series finale, as Haseley starts in left field while Andrew McCutchen serves as the Phillies' designated hitter.
