Judge (strained oblique) is out indefinitely, ESPN's Wallace Matthews reports. "We won't see him for awhile," manager Joe Girardi said after Tuesday's game.
EDGE Analysis
This comes as no surprise, as a strained oblique can often lead to a DL stint. The Yankees won't DL Judge since rosters have expanded, but it's possible he won't return during the regular season. In the meantime, Rob Refsnyder is expected to get the bulk of the at-bats in right field.

Judge was diagnosed with an strained right oblique, Wallace Matthews of ESPN New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
While it was initially thought that Judge was dealing with an ankle issue, it appears that it's actually an oblique injury. Judge will undergo an MRI on Wednesday, at which point the severity of the strain will become known.

Judge left Tuesday's game in the fifth inning with an apparent ankle injury, Brendan Kuty of NJ Advance Media reports.
EDGE Analysis
Judge twisted his ankle while swinging and was pulled from the game shortly after, although he told the team the team trainer that he felt fine. Upon his departure, Jacoby Ellsbury joined the New York outfield. It's likely that the Yankees are being cautious with the 24-year-old, but more information regarding his status should be available soon.

Judge went 1-for-4 with his fourth home run of the season in Monday's loss to the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
This game served as a microcosm of Judge's young career, as he launched a mammoth 443 foot home run but also struck out twice to lower his average to .181. The 24-year-old has already struck out a whopping 41 times in just 83 at bats and he's struggled to do much at the plate when he's not displaying his impressive power. With Aaron Hicks nearing a return from a hamstring injury, Judge could start to see more time on the bench down the stretch if his struggles continue.

Judge is out of the lineup Saturday against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Big league pitchers have had their way with Judge, as he's striking out at a 44.7 percent clip through 85 plate appearances. The power is very real, but he has been neutralized for the most part thus far, and it wouldn't be surprising if he continues to lose out on at-bats down the stretch. Rob Refsnyder is starting in right field and hitting seventh Saturday.

Judge is not in the lineup Wednesday against Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
The usual starter in right field of late will get the day off Wednesday, as the Yankees go with Tyler Austin in his place. Judge has hit three home runs since coming up in mid-August but he's struggled mightily of late and has struck out at least twice in each of his last nine games.

Judge is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Royals, Wallace Matthews of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Yankees continue to manage Judge's playing time carefully during his first exposure to the majors. Though he hit his third homer of the season Tuesday, his .196 batting average and 24 strikeouts in 58 plate appearances suggest he's somewhat overmatched against big-league pitching. In his place, Aaron Hicks will start in right field.

Judge homered, his third, in a 1-for-5 game in Tuesday's win over the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Judge also struck out twice, giving him a brutal 24 strikeouts in just 15 games. That's the main reason he sits below the Mendoza line (currently batting .196). Still, the power is showing up. He has five extra-base hits out of his 10 total hits, and a solid .412 slugging percentage as a result. If he can ever figure out how to make contact, that power will play very well, particularly with the short porches at Yankee Stadium.

Judge is out of the lineup Sunday against the Angels, Newsday's Eric Boland reports.
EDGE Analysis
Judge will get the afternoon off after making seven straight starts in right field, capping it off Saturday with a 1-for-3 performance that included a two-RBI single. While the young outfielder gets a maintenance day, the Yankees will turn to Aaron Hicks to draw the start in his stead.

Judge went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo shot in Sunday's 12-3 loss to the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie proves he can take advantage of Yankee Stadium's short porch by lining an opposite field laser just over the wall in right field. Judge has now played in two big league games and homered in each of them, about as good a start to his career as he or the Yankees could have hoped.
