Hicks is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks has started the past four games for the Yankees, going 4-for-15 (.267) with a homer, four RBI and a 2:3 BB:K during those contests. In his absence, the Yankees will go with an outfield consisting of Cameron Maybin, Brett Gardner and Clint Frazier from left to right.

Hicks is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Padres, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks will take a seat in favor of Cameron Maybin with the Yankees and Padres closing out their series with a day game after a night game. Since returning from a back injury and making his season debut May 15, Hicks has gone 9-for-43 (.209 average) with a 29.4 percent strikeout rate.

Hicks will sit for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks went 1-for-4 with a walk and a pair of runs in the afternoon contest. It's no surprise that he won't be asked to play two games in one day just 10 days after returning from a long absence due to back issues. Brett Gardner will start in center field, with Cameron Maybin starting in left.

Hicks is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks started six games in a row after returning from the injured list but hasn't quite gotten going at the plate, hitting .182 with a 32.1 percent strikeout rate. Brett Gardner gets the call in center field, with Cameron Maybin starting in left.

Hicks went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, two runs and two walks to help the Yankees to a 13-5 win over the Rays on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
A day after posting his first multi-hit game of the season, Hicks had an active day at the plate again, reaching base three times and cranking his first long ball of the season in the fourth inning off Charlie Morton. He still has just three hits in first 16 at-bats since returning from the injured list, but he looks to be heating up and should remain a regular fixture in the Yankees' lineup moving forward.

Hicks went 2-for-5 in a 2-1 loss for the Yankees against the Rays on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks had been 0-for-8 with four strikeouts since his return from the injured list with a back injury, so it was good to see him check in with a couple of knocks, even on a futile day for the Yankees' offense. Now healthy, hopefully this is a sign the 29-year-old's bat is set to get going and he can recapture his form from the last two seasons that saw him log an OPS over .800.

Hicks is not in the lineup for Game 1 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks will have to wait until the second half of Wednesday's twin bill to make his 2019 big-league debut, as the Yankees want to ease the outfielder into action after his lengthy stay on the IL to open the year. Brett Gardner is starting in center field in this one, with Mike Tauchman getting the nod in left field.

Hicks (back) was activated off the injured list as expected Monday and will lead off and play center field against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks had battled back issues since early March. Durability concerns remain, but he should be a strong leadoff hitter when available, as he's hit .255/.368/.470 over the last two seasons. It remains to be seen if he'll head straight into an everyday role or if he'll need to be eased back into action.

Manager Aaron Boone said Hicks (back) will be activated off the 10-day injured list for Monday's series opener against the Orioles, Brendan Kuty of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hicks has been on a minor-league rehab assignment over the past week and apparently hasn't had any issues with the back strain that's sidelined him since early March. The 29-year-old should provide a major boost to a lineup that is still without the likes of Aaron Judge (oblique) and Giancarlo Stanton (shoulder).

Hicks (back) said he's expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list Monday, Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to Adler, Hicks is reportedly symptom-free, though the outfielder wants to get some more swings in before rejoining the big-league club. He's already appeared in a trio of rehab games with High-A Tampa over the past three days, going 0-for-11 with a walk and three strikeouts in those appearances. Hicks is scheduled to play three more rehab games with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre over the weekend, and assuming everything goes off without a hitch, the 29-year-old should be cleared to rejoin the Yankees ahead of Monday's series opener against the Orioles.
