We will almost definitely have transaction limits and game counters in place for baseball and you will have time to create the league and tweak before 3/28 with them in place. We're going to first roll out the roto product and then roll out the transaction limits and game counters after. We don't want to roll everything out all at once because we want to ensure everything is as smooth as possible to give you guys the best user experience as always.
Also, if you have e-mailed us about any of these features within the last few years, you'll also receive an alert in your e-mail inbox when they are rolled out and ready to go.
I hope you guys get it done way before March 28th because not everybody waits until the last minute to draft.
I understand the patience for a perfect product but you know how it goes, in every league theres that 1-2 owners that will bitch about a transaction change after the draft and then there will be owners that will bitch because we dont have transaction limits installed when we can get them..Guess what im saying is the longer you wait the more it makes it a lose lose situation for the commish.

Thanks for the response. We have our football (most important) and basketball on this site. For football it's everything you want. For basketball we just kind of put up with the add/dropping, as long as nobody does it every single day. We tried having our baseball league here a few years ago but the starting pitcher add/dropping completely divided the league and calamity ensued so we switched to ESPN.
This is exciting news. I can't wait to tell the rest of the guys in the league.
Since you said counters. Does that mean there will be one for hitters and one for pitchers? How will they work? Will we be able to add both the counters and transaction limits to a league?
Im not sure what Hal means by game counters im guessing from seeing leagues in the past on espn it means games started for SP's..Its not the same as transaction limits though.
We're making progress. We know how important they are and are doing what we can to get them up and running.
They are quite hard to implement, test and roll out in a bug-free environment. We want the best for all of our users without any glitches.
We're targeting the beginning of the MLB season (in the US) from anywhere to around May 1 -- we know it's a wide range, but we're not quite sure when it'll be all set without any bugs to roll out so we can't promise a date.
Looks like I have a decision to sleep on tonight, im not sure im willing to wait until May 1st..Thats alot of owners who will be dropping out in a months time (if its even done by May 1st) that im not looking forward to replacing.

Man..May 1st will get pushed back to July 1st and then before we know it it'll be a priority for 2013.
Call me crazy but I dont know how roto is easier to implement than transaction limits.
