Please, guys, do this. Can you give the Commissioners the option to set some kind of limit on how many starting pitchers can start per week? A starter limit? This will keep people from adding and dropping pitchers every day just to get points from guys that are starting that day. Pitching is becoming a joke and really needs something like this.
200 Starts a Season is aproximately 7 starts a week. A league last year we limited the league 200 starts over course of season and it added more depth to Fantasy baseball as you had to plan out who to start and when to use them.
Well whatever they do I wish they would do it soon because streaming has ruined 2 of my leagues so far..I dont have anything against the ocassional streamer or the weekend push streamer but when owners drop 7 SP's everyday that gets a little too extreme..
I dont think transaction limits will do much good because the owner can still start his rostered SP's and still drop SP's until his limit is up and if the limit is 15 adds then thats pissing in the wind..
Games started limit would be better IMO, because say if you set the limit to like 15 games started a week and you carry 7 SP's, thats 7 starts used up right away and then 2 or 3 of them will have a 2 start week now that maybe 10 starts used up right away, now you can only add 5 SP's all week.
Im in a league on ESPN with no limit, granted its head to head...a few people have hitters on thier bench but a majority have stocked them with pitchers. Nobodies dropping Jimenez to pick up a extra start for a matchup thier behind in, but its forced some people to part ways with a solid pitcher because they need extra starts or points. Take advantage of it, grab quality pitchers as those guys drop um, if they are. Not all NO LIMIT leagues are Fulll of knuckle heads. Ive amassed a solid core of SP because people drop good pitchers for a extra start.
PS... R.A. Happ was my sleeper of the year! check him out at 5-0 in 6 games (Other was No-Decision, first start)
