In order to truly reflect the value of Punters, there needs to be points for yards downed inside the 20.
I think that what you've done with the Punter scoring is OK (currently we give 2 points for all punts downed inside the 20), but you have find a way to give more points for the deeper the ball is downed inside the 20. Whether it would be easier to give 1 point for a punt downed inside the 20 plus 0.1 for every yard getting closer to the endzone OR 3 points and -0.1 for every yard from the endzone, the end result would be the same. Punts downed inside the 20 would range from a bonus of 1.1 to 2.9 depending on what yardline (19-1) the ball is downed at.
I would settle for bonus points on punts downed inside 15, 10 or 5 yard line but I'm not sure that would be much easier to track. I won't stop asking for this feature. You added Punters. Now let's make better scoring (like you did with the sack yards).
This week Saints P Morstead had 5 punts downed inside the 20. He got 10 points for punts down at the 15, 12, 14, 11, and 10. With the scoring that I request, it would have been 1.5, 1.8, 1.6, 1.9, and 2 for a total of 8.8
Morstead didn't have any punts downed inside the 10. He had a good day, but it wasn't great.
Using Overall Punt Yards, Overall Avg Punt Yards (not Net), Punt Attempts (as a Negative Stat), and Touchbacks can help differentiate Punter Performance
Your comment is irrelevant. I want points depending on what yard the ball is downed on inside the 20. Punters who pin the opponent deep should get more fantasy points. That is not an option currently, but I won't quit demanding it until it is.
Congrats on recognizing that Punters are Fantasy Players too. This is the scoring I use for my leagues which gives a range of 20 to -2 points and an average of 7 points a week. The highest score ever by a Punter was Michael Dickson in his first NFL game, 21.2 (had 4 downed inside the 20 with a 57.5 net average):
2 points for every Punt Inside 20
-2 points for every Blocked Punt
-1 point for every Touchback Punt
1 point for every 100 Punt Net Yard (0.01 per)
1 point for every 2 Net Yards Per Punt points after reaching 38 total Net Yards Per Punt (0.5 per)

That's awful scoring. I don't feel sorry for anyone stupid enough to join your public leagues. Good luck though.
