I have a 16 team, 4 division, 13 week regular season. We play division opponents twice. We play our divisional games in weeks 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, & 13. I currently have to use the custom setting to achieve the schedule I want but this is a pain due to the number of teams and weeks involved.
My suggestion\question is when I choose the "custom" schedule type could you include the "Play each team in my division" tab. Then could you create a way to select the weeks divisional play will occur & then automatically generate those divisional weeks schedule. That would leave me to generate the other 7 weeks of the schedule on my own.
Example... I choose "2 times" to play each team in my division & then select which weeks those games will be played in(weeks 5,6 & 7 and 11,12 & 13). I would then schedule weeks 1,2,3,4,8,9 & 10 on my own.
If something like that can't be accomplished it would be nice to have some kind of schedule matrix that showed how many times teams played each other.
I run a Yahoo! league and they have a matrix that is very helpful.
We're redoing some scheduling algorithms, so we'll work in trying to get that done. The reason for the late division games are to have close races down the stretch (similar to what the NFL does in many cases (see the Steelers and Ravens for this year). Thanks though, we'll try and incorporate that suggestion down the line.
