Why did Jesus Montero lose his catcher status? I kept him as a keeper for this upcoming season as catcher, which was his eligibilty when the season ended. Now he is just a DH. Wondering why that couldn't have changed when the season was coming to a close. Makes a huge difference in strategy.
We're doing a 10-game must start in 2011 and 5-game start in 2012 to gain eligibility. We will be following this strictly and will most likely not changing any eligibility past January.
We are actually going to have the new positions rolled out some time this week. Last week's was a preliminary version.
If he plays 5 games at catcher in 2012, he will switch back over and keep that. The only way he will lose that would be for 2013 and that would be if he didn't play 10 games at the position this season.
