I would like to see a "bye" status on the IR list, with the rule that a player can only be placed on IR_Status(bye) if they are bye that week.
Note: My league allows bye players to be put on hold for the bye week and pick up a free agent for half price. The player picked up for half-price must be returned to the free-agent pool the following week.
(We have been "on paper" league for almost 30 years, so our rules are weird. This our first year using the interwebs. We actually went with Fleaflicker because of the flexibility of the kicker scoring.)
Yeah, it's something we should be able to get switched for next year. Thanks for your input, guys. I have added it to my suggestion and to-do page and will bring it up.
i looked at the rules and if you go into the roster change and the ir status you can change it to Heathy players as the ir and after the by weeks are over you can change it back where you want it
I have been using the IR status "Healthy" for bye players, but it does not force you to put a player on IR when you make a pickup. It also allows you to expand your roster even if players are not on IR. As the commish, I just manually prevent this. Our players all know each other, so it has not been a problem. T
This was a great suggestion and I think it should be added for next year. Another IR suggestion would be to have the option to set IR individually. What I mean is if you allow for 2 IR positions: one can only be used for an IR position, the other could be used for statuses or for the sake of this topic - bye week.
How about my other suggestion about having the ability to set IR positions individually? Right now you select how many IR (for this example lets say you set your league for 2 IR positions) and then the health status. What I am referring to is having the ability to set 1 IR to ONLY IR and the other you can have a certain status. e.g. - pup, probable, out, IR, bye. The reason for this would be for a keeper league. Your thoughts?

It's not a bad suggestion; we can think about incorporating this for next year if it's popular with our user base.
Thanks for switching to Fleaflicker from your "on-paper league."
Feel free to let me know if you need further help or you can contact us at any time.

While it may not be something every league will want to use, it is an option that I feel should be implemented for next year.

i agree because leagues do not have a bench where you can carry extra for the by week without letting go your regular starters,

From fleafounder:
After looking into how we handled this in past years, I've changed our injury handling to account for bye weeks.
No player's injury status can improve until noon Wednesday the week after the bye.
So Austin won't improve until Wednesday. (This change may take a few minutes to be reflected.)

It was a good suggestion, we did implement it so that no player's injury status can improve until noon Wednesday the week after the bye
