I am sure there a lot of things that are probably contributing to the Sunday problems here on FleaFlicker. There seems to be a lot of useless garbage that has to be taking up some of the resources that are causing the lagging and complete shut downs when traffic to the site gets heavy on Sunday afternoons. If someone took the time to go through the entire site and just clean up some, this would have to at least help.

There are leagues and members that have not been active for years and they are still using the resources to calculate live scoring and such. Get rid of these.

The message and forums boards hold information forever. I know some of the older leagues that have been on the site for a while may still use some of that crap, but do you seriously think every post that is 4 years old needs to be saved. This should be reset every so often. A complete message and forums board rework is needed.

I think the so called "World Rankings" needs to be completely removed from the site if it is going to work like it is now. 6 of the "Top 10" have not been active on the site for at least 2 months. The "#1" player hasn't been logged in since 11/17/2009. This system is flawed.

These are just a few of the things that have to be eating up valuable resources and there are a lot more. Feel free to add your thoughts here with some things that can be cleaned up from the site to help make space for more important things that are actually used and work.
