For this upcoming season we are planning a live "offline" draft for my league. Unfortunately, it sounds like 3 people won't be able to make it to the draft and will have to be in the normal online draft room.

I noticed a few previous posts about the features to make this work, but they sound like work-arounds. I know the commissioner has the option to pause and pick within the first 5 sec (is there any way to lengthen this time??) as well as the option to do the email "slow" draft.

What do you suggest would be the best way to go about doing the draft in this situation? And are there any plans to improve this capability in the future?

Hi Jack, If you pause the draft, you have 5 minutes to pick (but if you take more than 60 cumulative minutes in the paused time it won't let you pause anymore). You just need to hit the pause button within 5 seconds, if not, it will pick for you. If that happens, just hit undo and go back.

I think the best suggestion is an e-mail/slow draft if you don't want to use the applet.

It can be selected under Commish Options>Edit Live Draft Options>E-mail Draft --

An e-mail draft is when players sign on and select players at their own pace through the players tab, we call it a slow draft. At any time a player signs on to make their pick. You can run this instead of a live draft if you wish.

In e-mail drafts, owners can take as little or as much time as they would like to make pick(s). The owner or commish can select for other owners, and pausing is not needed as there is unlimited time to make picks. Once a user makes their pick, the whole league is e-mailed with the selection. The e-mail alert also notifies you when it is your turn in relation to when the last pick was taken.

It will give you the unlimited clock that you are looking for and it alerts the entire league through e-mail after each selection.
