ive been requesting for years.....always "future" lol
especially baseball, we have a league in cbs that we play 4 games each week.....would love to take it to flea because it keeps track of draft picks better
I know, doubleheaders are hard to implement, because there are so many pages effected: schedules (league+team), lineup, standings, stats, etc.
But I really would like to see doubleheaders for the following reasons:
- leagues may have odd number of teams and still everyone has a game to play every week.
- your team gains importance over scheduling luck (lower variance when facing two opponents at the same time with the same lineup).
- larger leagues / better schedules possible (I am in a 16 team fantasy football league. You won't face all 15 opponents in reg. season without doubleheader).
- on average it will take longer till teams are eliminated from playoff contention (few might be settled if you close the reg. season with a doubleheader).
I'd go even further to detach the competitions completely from the league structure then allow us to run multiple competitions from within 1 league. My ideal setup would allow for teams to compete in a tournament weeks 1-3, H2H 1-16 with double headers only on the bye weeks, another tournament 14-16, and roto 1-16 all by setting 1 lineup.
