I will continue to operate the site. There will be some minor changes as we integrate with AOL Sports but otherwise everything will remain the same.
Fleaflicker has come a long way in just three and a half years. During that time I was possessed by a single (and often unhealthy) obsession—making the best fantasy football site. My decision to sell was made with this goal in mind.
AOL and I share the same vision for expanding the site. Integrating with AOL sports will improve Fleaflicker immeasurably. (For example, FanHouse blogs provide the most insightful sports commentary on the Internet; their content will ultimately be integrated into Fleaflicker.)
The bottom line is this: I made this decision because I am certain it will improve the game for all Fleaflicker users.
Dynasty leagues operate all year. Things like drafts, waiver moves, trades, etc. still take place.
I agree, though, give him at least a few more days before you jump all over him. The fact that AOL bought the site shows that Fleafounder put a lot of work into it, so you know he isn't a slacker.
I'd actually prefer it if AOL got involved later rather than sooner. I have not been too impressed with what they have to offer, while I absolutely love this site.
Is there any update on the timeframe for this being completed? Last I heard was June 2. I'm really looking forward to seeing our AOL league imported. Thanks.
so...is there a new date we can look forward to?
it's june 9th now...
and I'm not trying to be a jerk...
but are we talking about a few days?
a few weeks?
I realize football is a ways off....but fantasy football never ends and we can't access our rosters.

I've decided to sell Fleaflicker to AOL.

For now, involving AOL just means importing all their past leagues/users into Fleaflicker so they can player here this season.
