I sent out multiple trade offers. One of them was sent in error. Of course the recipient accepted. I should have spoken to him, but instead I dropped a player to invalidate the trade. This is a money league and I am also the commish. This was yesterday and waivers have since been processed also impacting some of the players involved. I am getting pressure to correct it from the trade recipient (first year team owner) and veteran team owners.
While it is not ideal, I also didn't violate any league rules.
For what it's worth, as Commissioner, I always defer any of my authority to an appointed Co-Commish, if any trade activity is initiated by me. If there is any issue or discrepancy, the Co- can cease/stop anything that may have been mistakenly done, and nobody will question when another authority overrides.
We went through with the trade, and league voted a new rule. There are no veto's on trades in our league anyway, so we implemented a new rule. All accepted trades are now immediately commish executed. No more 24HR waiting period.
I would have to agree with everyone else - the trade was launched - Accepted and should stand - You should have notified the league as soon as you sent out your trade - if was an accident . . .Just sayin' - you gotta keep it above board and not circumvent the system and claim you "Technically" didn't break any rules - that's like our President using executive order to put his own immigration laws in place because he knows there's no way anyone accept or vote yes for it in the first place . . .Oh Wait - That actually happened . ..
That's a bush league move on your part. I don't understand how a trade accidentally gets sent out. Sounds to me like you made an offer and immediately regretted it so before it could go through you sabotaged it.
Right thing to do would be fix the deal, validate the trade and apologize to your league. I'd call for your head as commish. How can they trust you after that?

You just admitted you're at fault. Also, considering it is a money league AND you're the commish...do the right thing. If you have to ask opinions of people you don't know to try to over ride the opinions of your league mates, you know you acted in the wrong. Correct the mistake.

Just to clear this up, I did come to terms on the trade and the issue was resolved. It sucks but it is what it is. Lesson learned.

I hope more than 1 lesson was learned in this case :)

What did you end up doing to rectify the situation?
