It all depends on your leagues scoring system Deebo Check it out it shows who gets pts for each scoring rule. Usually most Idp leagues give pts to only CD S LB EDR IL and offensive pts to QB RB WR TE. But some leagues just set it to ALL to allow any player to get the pts. There's been plenty of defensive players that played offense frequently but rarely if at all any offensive players who played defense. If it's not set to allow him to suggest to your commish to take a vote and ask owners if they agree it should be changed. I did in all of my leagues and almost all said yes. You should change it before you draft though because it will affect how soon he is drafted. And not fair to change it after the 1 person drafted him with nobody knowing he was gonna get accommodated the special scoring rule.

Does this mean in a combined offensive/IDP league he will get points for both positions?

Or will he only get the points for the position he is slotted in your starting lineup unless the scoring for that positions list both positions.
