I don't think it's appropriate or necessary to keep a team under any of those circumstances. Fantasy production for team defenses are always inconsistent from year to year, and you can always grab a top-five option off of the waiver wire at some point early in the season. Unless your alternative is a backup TE or a kicker to keep, I'd stockpile depth/talent at the important spots.
Ha I'm in that league with you, and I would go either V. Cruz or J. Witten. Just can't have too much depth at RB/WR, and unless Graham/Gronkowski are available in the draft you may as well hang on to Witten and solidify the position a bit.
