If a defensive player starting in your IDP slot, say a CB, were to play snaps at WR and catch a TD pass, would he receive the points for the catch, yardage and TD, just the TD, or none at all?

It depends on how your league rules are set. For each scoring rule you have to designate who gets the pts for it you can pick just certain positions or select ALL. If is selected as all then yes your IDP guy should get pts for the TD. I actually remember it happening with JJ Watt in my leagues when he scored a couple times on offense that 1 year with the Texans. But if it specifies only certain positions and IDP isn't 1 of them then he won't get the pts.

Thanks for the clarification! One other follow up question, in the specific case of Travis Hunter, since he is WR and CB eligible, would the point he scores be limited to the position ion he is played in? For instance, if he is played at WR and the format setting is that WR do not score points for a tackle, but CB’s do, would he be scored a point for the tackle since he is designated as a CB, or since he is in a WR spot he would only be eligible for a points a WR is eligible for?

In that case it would depend on what position he was started at in your lineup so no he wouldn't get the pts for a tackle if those were the rules and he was started at WR. It all depends on the scoring rules. I just set my leagues to ALL for every stat offense and defense so that no matter which position someone starts him at he will get pts for every offensive and defensive play he makes. But some leagues will do that where WR's will only get pts for offensive plays and CBs will only get pts for defensive plays to make owners choose which spot to play him at.

Thank so much! Really appreciate it! I think we’re landing in an in-between with Hunter. We’re making his yardage and Td’s score able from either position, but Point for receptions only if he’s played at WR, points for defensive stats only if he’s played at CB.
