ALL FLEX STARTING POSITIONS, FULL KEEPERS, NO TRADE DEADLINE (after start-up draft)
24 teams Four 6 team divisions
13 regular season weeks
Format Head to Head + Matchup vs the Median
2 wins and 2 losses possible each week
PLAYOFFS
12 teams in playoffs (weeks 14-17)
The 4 division winners will get a 1st round bye. This is important because week 14 will be the last week of byes. So those 4 teams will not have to worry about playing a game in playoffs with any of their healthy starters on a bye.
Teams seeded 5-12 will play in the 1st round. The 4 winners will play teams 1-4 in week 15 in re-seeded format lowest seed plays 1 seed etc. Semi-finals in week 16 and Championship in Week 17.
DIVISION REALIGNMENT
For the following season and beyond the divisions will be realigned based on scoring averages. This will be done to try and prevent having 1 division with multiple teams that had double digit wins, and another where the all teams had a (.500) or worse record.
The top 4 ppg teams will be put in separate divisions, the 5-8 teams also 1 in each division, and so on. It should make the league more balanced, and give the good teams a better shot at winning their division and making playoffs each season. It should eliminate a team with losing record getting in as a division winner and getting a bye over a team with double digit wins getting left out cuz they finished 3rd or 4th in their division.
ROSTERS
16 SPOTS (All keepers)
-All starting spots flex (8)
QB/RB/WR/TE - 1
RB/WR -2
WR/TE - 2
RB/WR/TE - 1
K/D-ST - 1
QB/RB/WR/TE/K/D-ST - 1
You will be able to start up to 2 QBs but if necessary you will be able to start 0 QBs. So if both of your QBs are on a bye the same week you don't have to make a meaningless roster move just to have a 1 week fill-in or play with a short-handed roster for the week. You will still be able to start 8 players and have a realistic chance to win.
Maximums will be set during the start-up draft for QBs (2) Ks (1) and D/STs (1). This is to give each team a shot of at least having 1 of each since there's only 32 total available and there's 24 teams. Although it won't guarantee each team of getting 1 QB. All 32 QBs could be gone in the 1st 2 rounds. So if you gamble and wait to take one you may be left with none. After the draft however the maximum limits will be removed or increased.
I had to set the minimums for each position at one because if I do zero then when I try and create a flex spot the spot where it has 0 minimum setting isn't included in the options. I tried having 0 minimum QBs K & D/ST but then when I went to create a new flex position it only showed RB WR & TE as options QB K & D/ST weren't included.
So you will eventually have to have at least 1 QB K & D/ST on your roster at some point because if you have zero it won't allow you to make a FA or waiver claim it will say your roster is invalid because you don't have the minimum required at a position and have to fill that void 1st.
IR - 3 (Designations - Almost everything except "Questionable")
TAXI/IL - 2
The taxi spot will be treated as an inactive list so if you need to stream a bye week kicker or D/ST or other player you won't have to cut a player just to pickup a 1 week fill-in
DRAFT/TRANSACTION RULES
Because it is so close to start of the season the initial draft will be a live snaked draft on a day between today and next Thursday. I work 12 hour days on weekends Fri-Sun so It will have to be on Sunday night or during the week. From 8pm ET Sunday to 10pm ET Thursday I am free so if you have any of those days/times free then come join us. As soon as league fills I'll set the start time asap. For next season and beyond it will be a slow email draft, linear not snaked, and will start as soon as the NFL Draft finishes in April or May.
No trading during start-up draft. After the draft however, There will be no trade deadline ever again in the history of the league. If you are playing in the championship game, or trying to clinch a playoff spot, and want to try and make a move you think will help you win, do it. You may have to give up valuable future assets to do it, but it will be your choice. You will also be able to trade during future drafts unlike the start-up draft.
The Draft order for future seasons will be decided NFL style not Fleaflicker style. So the champ will pick last (24th) Runner-up next to last (23rd). The 2 semi-finalists will pick 21-22 based on regular season finish. The 4 2nd round losers 17-20, 1st round losers 13-16 all based on regular season finish as well. The 12 non-playoff teams will be ranked based on regular season finish 1-12 at the end of the regular season. Nothing they do in Consolation bracket will change their spot. I will post the Draft order on the message board for future reference since Fleaflicker will have a set order based on their system and I will probably have to end up changing it. The top 12 will be posted at end of regular season. Then I will post 13-16, 17-20, 21-22, and 23-24 during the playoffs as each week is completed.
Waiver claims will be determined by FAAB. We will start with $1,000 and any amount you have left at the end of the season will rollover to the next season and be added to the new $1,000. Maximum rollover amount is $1,000. So if you use none of your $1,000 this year and have $2,000 the following year, and then use none again, you will not get to rollover the full $2,000 only $1,000. So the max you can have each season is $2,000.
If this sounds interesting to you then pick a spot and join no email needed. First come first serve. As soon as league fills I'll decide the draft day & time. It's set at Wednesday September 3rd for now but if league fills up sooner I can change it.
