I have Foster, Mendenhall, Hightower, Torain and need 2 or can go w/1 RB and 3 WR...have Maclin, M. Austin, Kenny Britt, Boldin and Lance Moore. I'm over thinking things right now so need some guidance if possible.
Forget Mendenhall...he's been stinking it up lately and is up against the Jets #1 run defense (he's averaging 3.05 ypc over the past two games). I like Foster and Hightower. Foster bc he is obviously the best fantasy RB and his status just got improved to "probable". Hightower because his stats are far more impressive (5.2 ypc for the season) than Torain's, and is facing a paltry Panther's team. The offense will be run through Hightower this week, not their QB Croyle. Expect the Cardinals to beat the Panthers and Hightower to get an extra 6-8 carries just to run the clock. bpfinne is wrong, being successful in fantasy football and fantasy sports in general require owners to analyze the best matchups.
You're right raebdabgib. you really know your stuff, other then the fact that Croyle QBs for the Chiefs. Go ahead Stoligirl start the #28 RB over the #10 RB. He's clearly better. I'm sure the Jets, who just lost to the Dolphins, are going to shut down the Steelers. And I'm sure the Jets awesome offense led by Sanchez (who has 12 Ints and 8 fumbles in his last 7 games and 0 tds in his last 2) is going to overpower the #1 D and keep the Steelers O off the field.
Thanks for the correction about Skelton, not Croyle. The Jets defense only allowed 10 points against the Dolphins and lost...clearly the lost came because they couldn't put the ball in the endzone, not because their defense didn't do its job. When that #28 RB averages 1.3 ypc more than a #10 RB and finally gets as many or more carries against a weak Panthers defense...well Ill take that matchup any day. If we should stop thinking and start our "studs" (mendenhall can hardly be classified as a stud when you look at his stats compared to foster and peterson) all the time then we should just set our lineup in week one and by week 14 have a 6-8 record.

Even a person with a 6-8 record sometimes knows what he's talking about
